At first, id like to make a brief introduction of it. The Former Site of the Wuchang Uprising Military Government is located at the southern end of Wuhan

2、Yangtze River Bridge in Wuchang Town. It mainly consists of the Red Building, the Military Reviewing Square, the History Exhibition Hall of the 1911 Revolution and the Hall of the Historical Relics in the 1911 Revolution. On October 10,1911, the Revolution of 1911 led by Dr.Sun Yatsen broke out in W

3、uchan City, the uprising troops had occupied the whole Wuhan in a short time , and built the the Wuchang Uprising Military Government here, then they announced to do away with the reign of the last feudal Dynasty-Qing Dynasty. 4、u, why did residents name the road Pengliuyang ? On October 9, 1911, during the process of bomb making in Russian leased territory in Hankou, a bomb suddenly exploded, the policemen of Russia hurried to this place and seized all the prepared things for the Wuchang Uprising. On hearing this news, the

5、 Qing Government was very afraid and immediately began to search for revolutionists. Unfortunately, some revolutionists who sent the uprising order were arrested on the way by the Qing Troops. On October 10, the revolutionists Pengchufan, Liufuji and Yanghongsheng were murdered beside the Military R

6、eviewing Square. In honor of them, people gave the road a name of Pengliuyang.This is the Military Reviewing Square. In the late Qing Dynasty, a lot of uprisings led by Dr.Sun Yatsen broke out in China. In order to save its reign of China, the Qing Government began to learn from western countries an

7、d train new troops all over the country. Before this, the old Qing troops were very inferior, armed with some backward weapons such as guns and bombs to conquer the uprising troops. Originally the square was a place where the Qing Dynasty trained its new troops in Hubei Province. Later the Wuchang u

8、prising troops occupied it and used it as their own military reviewing sqare.Dr.Sun Yatsen ever reviewed the uprising troops here. ?The platform in front of us, is the place where Huangxin was offered to the chief commander of theWuchang uprising troops by the governor or LiYuanhong of the Wuchang U

9、prising Military Government.This is the bronze statue of Dr. Sun Yatsen. He was an outstanding forerunner of the democratic revolution in modern China. He was a valiant fighter who led the struggle to overthrow the feudal monarchy and build up a democratic republic. He was a patriot who fought again

10、st imperialist aggression and for the independence and freedom of China. He was also a great revolutionary leader and a great statesman. In May of 1911, the Qing Dynasty used some railways of China as the mortgage to borrow money from the imperialist countries and began to sell the ownership of Chin

11、as railways to some imperialist countries. The governments behav i or ann(syd patriots. The protecting Railway Movement immediately took place in Sichuan, Hubei, Hunan and Guangdong provinces. Among them, the Movement in Sichuan province happended in the largest scale.On October 10, 1911, two revolu

12、tionistary bodies in Hubei Province-Liberary Association and March Together League, inspired by the central China general Branch of the TongMenghui, staged an armed uprising in Wuchang. They occupied the tricity of Wuhan and set up the Hubei Military Government. Later the Qing Dynasty almost concent

13、rated all its main troops to lauch an attack. Although the uprising troop tried their best to defend Wuhan, the Qing troops were armed better.In the end, the uprising troops failed in the war and retreated to Wuchang but they won the time for other provinces to lauch uprising and laid a foundation f

14、or the following peace talk between the Qing government and the revolutionary party. iThe victory of the Wuchang uprising lit the road of revolution up.On December 29,the reprensentives from 18 provinces held congress in Nanjing to elect Sun provisional President of the Republic of China.
