3、istics of American politics .These basic system mainly contains two aspects On the one hand, the federal government is composed of three branches, legislative, judicial and executive; on the other hand, in the American federalist system ,citizen are usually subject to three levels of government , fe

4、deral, state and local . The main parties in the United States including Republican Party and Democratic Party.1 Bran ches of the federal gover nment1.1 LegislativeCon gress Un ited State has the legislative authority. 8、ander in-chief of the military, can veto legislative bills before the become law, and appoints the Cabinet and the officers, who administer and enforce federal laws and policies.POTUS serves a four-year term may be elected to the office no more tha n twice. The preside nt is not elected by direct vo

9、te, but by an in direct electoral college system in which the determining votes are apportioned by state .2 America n federalist systemAmerica n federalist system is a complicated proces,its features in eludes check and bala nces.(1) the country with the highest legislative, administrative and judic

10、ial organs the exercise of state power, the federal unit has its own legislative, administrative an judicial orga ns, there is no subord in ate relatio nship betwee n the authorities and the cen tral authorities;(2) the state has a un ified con stituti on and basic laws, withi n the con text of this

For the first time in 1861, Abraham Lincoln became Preside nt, republica n gover nment. Later in 1933 to more tha n 70 years, in addition to

14、 16 years, the republican party has presided over the White House. After 1933, have had Dwight Eise nhower, and Richard Nixon, ford, Ron ald Reaga n, George Bush and in power. The republica n n ati onal committee chairma n is Reince Priebus. Gen erally in the preside ntial electio n voters to vote f
