3、non that chinese parent consider their children can't lose at the starting line so that they are crazy for sending their children to various of training classes, such as dancing, painting, piano, mathematical olympiad class etc. though children are unwilling that lends to excessive development o

4、f intelligence.body 】i learn what they learn in the appropriate timein germany, there is a fact that a mother ask the teacher if her child learn extra skill or knowledge before going to school. and the teacher looked at her weirdly and replied:64you should let your child keep up with others.excessiv

5、e knowledge especially those cramming lectures will make children's brain become hard drives, and they will lose the ability of initiative thinking their law prohibit children from being educated in advance most educational experts said: growing up happily and innocently is the only task for the

6、 preschool children. the experts thought playing is the nature which kids are born with, as for parents, they do not go against the rule of children's growing. the germanic education stresses on learning through the game.1) in the kindergarten, there are multi-age students in a class, teachers d

7、on9t divide big-class or small-class because of age. the purpose is to teach them how to get along with other people, and to form good habit, fraternal cooperation, and ways of thinking and doing however, in china, they get down to study grade one books, in case they can not keep up with some "

8、genius” but actually, there is not necessary to do that, what they currently learn will be taught in grade one, and it is not so difficult for this age to learn.2) in the primary school, students ended their routine study at noon, in the afternoon, they dortt need to attend extra lessons, unless the

9、y are interested in swimming and art, and the other students will stay at home on the contrary, chinese pupils are required to learn in a full-time school. it means they spend all day in school. they study from 7a.m to 5p.m after school they are forced to participate in all kinds of skill lesson, fo

10、r example, calligraphy, abacus mental calculation, music and instrument, sport, even students dislike them.after that, they finally have time to do their endless homework until llp.m,so that they not only have less time to chase their gifts and hobbies, but also they are overwhelmed and swallowed by

11、 the tough study. so far, people might concerned a matter that germany students will lose at the starting line, and chinese student are superior to them. in reality, despite those controversies and evaluations of the two countries, there is a real statistic that almost half of the germans are awarde

12、d the nobel price since it was set up, in other word,82,000,000 took away it, and the rest of more than 6 billion people possessed the other half. seemingly, chinese students have more solid preschool and elementary knowledge, besides, they have one or two performing skills, but because of that, chi

13、nese student fall into a circle of passively received knowledge and lose their passion for thinking on their own initiative. and what i mentioned that will have a bad influence on their subsequent studyii attaches great importance to the self-confidencegermans pay attention to form the self-confiden

14、ce. they realize it was significant during the growing, and it is one of the basic factors of handling issues when their children got a small margin of progress, they will not hesitate to give them immediate encouragement and praise let's tell you a story, helmut kohl, the chancellor of germany,

15、 when he was young, his father told him a lot encourage words though he can't fully understand the meaning of it, he acquired much confidence and power. even if he got 59 points in the last exam, he got 60 points this time parents should be proud of the 1 point improvement. one after one praise

16、will contribute to the great and strong children's self-confidence therefore, the recognition and praise is the original spring of kiefs self-confidence. by the way, in german primary school, teachers often give the 1 to 6 points, instead of marking with specific points and the points are only k

17、nown by themselves and their parents. it can avoid the unrealistic comparisons and children's self-confidence while in china, parents care about the exact marks, and children are asked for 100 points, they afraid the 99 points will cause the strict scold and punishments from their parents. and e

18、ventually, they are crazy for becoming no.l and they seek for the fame and gain rather than the truth and knowledge. there is a misconception among chinese people that the champion got everything, but they don't aware of they are losing something important to them gradually, and over competitive

19、ness can blind their eyes.iii. emphasizes individual and self-possessionthe traditional education in china, on account of the respective differences in more aspects is different from that in the west. they have their own characteristics between regions and cultures.to begin with, the tendency of edu

20、cation is different. the chinese parents lay emphasis on social enlightenment, ignore the growth of children. the chinese parents take the social compatible enlightenment seriously, but often neglect the development of children's characteristics, they often train the children under established f

21、orms, and lay down the broad road for their growth the western parents provide the children a environment for growth resistant to them, and foster their tenacious individuality and the good conduct, and they choose their idea and way of cultivation according to the change of society and the characte

22、ristic of children physical and mental.secondly, the value of education is different. the function of china's education is forced by the china's traditional culture. the chinese traditional confucian culture emphasize "the cultivation of one's moral character, the running of one'

23、;s family, the administration of a state, the peace and security of the world". in this directional thought, the education is bestowed on the direct social significance. in addition, the chinese traditional culture also regards the education and children's individual growth as the direct co

24、rrelative causes and effects. the chinese parents care about the reputation in educating the child, thinking educating the child to become a useful person is their achievement, but if not, the parents feel shameful. when the child goes to college, the parents9 comparison is more intense"which u

25、niversity does your child attend? if the child studies in qinghua, beijing university, or other famous universities, the parents will take a pride in their child; if the child has not been matriculated in a famous university, the parents will feel sad and ashamed of facing relatives. above all, we c

26、an know chinese parents put their faces in the first place and in the western countries, these things never happen. if a person is only graduated from a specialized middle school, works in a small store. in chinese opinion, he is almost below the life's "the safety line", and has littl

27、e to be proud of. but his parents appreciate actually him much more. why? because he takes part in the piano performance in the community frequently, and obtains the reward many times. the main difference is that the college chosen by the chinese children is usually famous one, and the western child

28、ren choose the college according to their own likes, instead of taking "famous or top college as the decision factor. the chinese likes to compare their own chilcfs merits with other child's shortcomings, in which the parents may seek self-consolation. the western family often introspect th

29、eir own child's merits and success, is not accustomed to seeking to do others down. to summarize, chinese family often wants to highlight own image, disparages others unintentionally in the comparison; the western family often pays great attention to his own self-respect, self-possession, own ha

30、ppy the chinese traditional family culture is following the dominant pattern, displays the family's internal authority consciousness. it emphasis obedience and respects, takes the external control serious. the chief educator is parents in chinese traditional culture whereas, the western civiliza

31、tion takes the child as the main body, emphasizes individual struggle, emphasizes equality, democracy and respects the individual right. the western parents think of the child as an equal member in the family, respect the child's personality and dignity, can let the child think independently and

32、 choose freely. they respect the child's right, do not do the compulsory education. they respect the child*s self-respect, advocate child's instinct development, and the natural development. parents* responsibility only lies in discovering and guiding the child's interests and potential

33、ties, creating the advantageous environment for the childiv. pays great attention to emotional communication and encouragementaccording to the investigation, in the western family, parents show their appreciation to the children by using the encouraging language the western parents pay great attenti

34、on to individual quality and the emotional communication. the family lays emphasis on the construction and the cultivation of emotion. they can vacate their time to talk with the child, listen attentively to the child's aspirations, and emphasize heart to heart communication. in western countrie

37、of forms. the western family has the special cooking class, the hard work class and the playroom. they do not think that play and study are conflicting with each other, and encourage the child to study outside, pay great attention to the child's ability to ponder. the parents usually lead the ch

38、ild in seeking the nature's mystery, help them know about the society. they carry out dewey's "education is life,; "school is society”. they encourage the child to go to the library, the museum to read the books he is interested in, and participate in the social practicewe need to know about the social background of china and western count
