3、married daughters but no sons while his inheritance must be inherited by a male, so Mrs. Bennet has bee n kee n to seek husba nd for her daughters with great enthusiasm. One day the Benn ets had a new n eighbor called Bin gley who was a wealthy bachelor and followed be the target of Mrs.Bennet. At a

4、 ball Bingley fell in love with Jane Bennet who ' the oldest daughter of the Benn ets. Bin gley 'friend Darcy also came to the ball and struck the sights, many girls liked him while he thought all of them couldn 'suit his preferenee, including Elizabeth.Mr. Darcy always shows others a im

5、pressi on of pride, hav ing found this Elizabeth bega n to hate Mr. Darcy. Before long Darcy fell in love with Elizabeth Bennett(second oldest daughter in the Bennets) because of her lovely behavior, while Elizabeth is disgusted by his pride and has a prejudice about him. The official Wickham was we

6、lcomed by the villagers, and Elizabeth also took a shi ne to him. Wickham told Elizabeth that his father had bee n the steward of theDarcys. The old Darcy had regarded Wickham as his own son and showed more love to him than to Mr.Darcy. After the old Darcy died, the property should be inherited by W

7、ickham was all deprived by Mr. Darcy, also was his pastorate. All this in creased Eli s prejudice about Mr. Darcy. At ano ther ball Mr. Darcy invited Elizabeth to dance with him, but Eli refused him. Eli ' elder male cousin Mr. Collin came toHertfordshireto inherit the Bennett's property byr

8、ules, he wan tedto marry with one of the Bennets.Having known that Jane was already engaged with Mr. Bin gley, he asked Elizabeth to marry him but was seriously rejected. At last he proposed to Charllote who was Eli ' friend.Mr. Colli ns was good at flatteri ng and he got the pastorate with the

9、help of Lady Catherine. Once his family was invited to Rosings Garden by Lady Catherine. Elizabeth also went there with Mr. Collin and Charllote. There she met Mr. Darcy who ' Lady Catherine ' nephew. Later in a garden, Sir William told Eli about Mr. Darcy 'latest act of dissuad ing Mr.

10、Bingley ' marring Jane Bennet which caused Eli ' exceedi ngly an ger. The n Mr. Darcy came to theColli ns ' and con fessed his love for Elizabeth, of course he was rejected impolitely. Afterwards Mr. Darcy wrote a letter to Eli in order to remove her misunderstandings of him. Elizabeth &

11、#39; uncle and aunt were also impressed by Mr. Darcy' politeness Gradually Eli ' prejudice of Mr. Darcy diappeared. Eve ntually they became couple.The writer Jane Austen disclosed mid-classyoung ladies' different ideas of marriage and love through describing the different ways in which t

12、he Bennet girls doing with their marriage problems ,and this undoubtedly shows the writer ' idea about love and marriage: it' wrong to get married just for property, wealth and status while neither would it be without cari ng about those eleme nts.Ja ne Auste n just attached great significan

13、ee to marriage through her novel by telling people that marriage should be regarded carefully cause it is not a game you could just enjoy without prude nt con siderati on.She also wan ted to deliver in formati on that marriage should be based on real love between the lovers. The female subject Eliza

14、beth is a mid-class girl, and Darcy proposed to her regardless of the gap between them, but Elizabeth refused because of his pride had formed Eli ' prejudice. Cause Darcy' pride was a suggest of status gap betwee n he and Eli, he wouldn ' have the same thought with Eli and consequently t

15、he ideal marriage. But later Darcy ' doings especially his change of the prideful manner eliminated Eli ' misunderstandings and prejudice about him, and Eli accepted his proposal. Those two opposite attitudes reflect female' pursue of in depe ndent pers on ality and equality. I think Eli

16、zabeth has personality ethic which caused her independent idea about love and marriage and in consequenee she earned a happy life. There 're also Eli ' sisters' love stories served as contrasts to the female subject' ideal marriage, such as Charlotte and Collin ' life: they do ha

17、d a luxury life, but there ' no real love betwee n them and this kind of marriage is surely a tragedy of society.I like this story for the outsda nding characteristic of the characters.A good book not only can bring you excit in g,but also give you some further thingking.Fromthe Pride and Prejud

18、ice lean alot.First,it ' stupid to judge a person by the first impression and always have prejudice on the person who you don 'like.In a word,we can 'judge a person without any further recognise or by other people's words.Just like Elizabeth,underWickham ' evilspeaking she judge Darcy wad a proud and hatest man and began to have prejudice on him,and kept misundersta
