The Torre Agbar conveys the s

The inside of the building has a circular nucleus without any pillars. The concrete base is covered with earthen, blue, gr

9、een and gray colored aluminum tiles while 59,619 transparent and translucent tiles make up the facade the rest of the way up. The Torre Agbar has 4,500 windows that Nouvel designed to allow for the use of natural sunl

11、ight, which lower the tower's power costs. Moreover, the natural laws of air circulation were used to create a natural ventilation system with environmentally friendly cooling gases that help protect the ozone layer. Nouvel even used a water-recycling scheme for the building to help cut down on

12、wasting precious natural resources. The ideals behind the design of the Torre Agbar are in line with the trends of our times: protecting the earth and respecting the environment. Insular, recyclable and non-pollutant materials were used as the core design principles of the building. The designers es

The large-scale destruction of the environment by modern society has already gravely affected our lives. We now face such environmental problems as rising tempe

19、ratures, global climatic changes, the destruction of the ozone layer and acid rain that have brought our natural environment to the point of crisis. Lin Hsien-de, a professor in the Department of Architecture at Chung Gong University in Tainan, pointed out that architectural and city design and planning are an important part of the quality of peoples' livelihoods and the most important link in global environmental strategies.
