The requirements, the short-term and long-term goals of the course.Listening Comprehension skills聽力技能是語言實用能力的重要組成部分,聽不僅能促進讀、寫、說、譯等能力的相應提高,也是獲取信息的重要渠道。聽力不僅指人的聽覺力,還包括記憶能力、概括能力、預測能力和語言轉(zhuǎn)換能力等。聽力理解部分的目的是測試學生獲取口頭信息的能力。一、題型本考試的第一部分是聽力理解,共含15道題,答題時間20分鐘,分值15分。它由Section A 和Section B兩節(jié)組成。Section A有10組

10、對話(Conversation),每組對話后伴隨一個問題。為了便于區(qū)分,對話一般是在一男一女之間進行的,然后由第三個人根據(jù)上述對話提出問題,要求考生從四個選擇項中選出一個最佳答案;Section B為短文(Passage),一般為2篇,每篇后設(shè)有23個問題,每個問題后約有15秒的停頓,讀兩遍。Section A常見的題型主要有以下幾種:1地點題地點即對話發(fā)生的地點。常用的提問方式有:Where does the conversation most likely take place?Where are they / the two speakers / the man and the woma

11、n? ExampleW: May I have this prescription filled here? I have a terrible headache.M: Yes, but youll have a 15-minute wait. Q: Where does the conversation most probably take place?A. In a bank.B. In a drug store. C. In a garage. D. In a department store. 此題中關(guān)鍵詞是“prescription”和“headache”,由此可斷定B是正確答案。2

12、身份或職業(yè)題這類題要求聽者通過說話人的用詞和語氣判斷說話者的身份或職業(yè)。ExampleW:Could you please explain the assignment for Monday, Mr. Smith?M:Certainly. Read Chapter Two in your textbook and come to class prepared to discuss what youve read.Q: Whats the probable relationship between the two speakers? A. Secretary and boss. B. Clien

Patient and nurse.此題的關(guān)鍵句子是“read the next chapter in your textbook”和“come to class”。由此可知C正確。3時間順序題此類題聽者須聽懂對話中事情發(fā)生的先后順序或確定某事發(fā)生或完成的具體時間。ExampleW: Have you finished your term paper? I handed in mine last Thursday.M: I finished typing mine at 11:00 last night. I h

By 12:00答案為D。因為noon是12點的同義詞。A、B對話中未提到,C指的是完成學期論文的時間。4計算題要求聽者就對話中出現(xiàn)的有關(guān)數(shù)字進行計算,如價格、人數(shù)、年齡、速度等。做這種題時應根據(jù)錄音提供的數(shù)據(jù)信息,通過快速心算,確定選項。ExampleW:I like these shirts. 15、$ 100 for two.Q: How much does one shirt cost?A. $15 B. $60 C.$100 D. $150答案是B。A屬于聽音錯誤,C是指兩件襯衫的價格,D是三件襯衫的價格。 5推測題要求聽者根據(jù)所聽內(nèi)容推測出隱含在對話中的信息。ExampleM: Lets go to the concert after dinner.W: Well, Ill go if you really want to, but Im a little bit tired.Q: What conclusion can you draw from the conversation

16、? A. The man is too tired to go to the concert.B. The woman wants to go to the concert. C. The man wants to go out to dinner.D. The woman does not want to go to the concert. 從對話可知,女方盡管很疲勞,但為了使男方高興,表示愿意去音樂會。故選D。6理解題它是所有題型中難度較大的一種,包括對詞匯、句型及全文的理解。此類題的問題一般是:What can you learn / infer from the conversati

17、on? What does the man / woman mean?ExampleM:You didnt go to the park last night either, did you?W: No. I had to feed the baby.Q: What do we learn from the conversation?A. The man went to the park, but the woman didnt.B. The woman went to the park, but the man didnt.C. Neither of them went to the par

Both speakers went to the park. 由“didnt go either”可知男方也未去,故應選C。Section B除了對話部分的題型外,所提問題還會涉及到中心思想(main idea),作者或談話者的觀點和看法(opinion)或短文中的一些具體事實等問題(可參照閱讀理解題型)。二、聽力訓練的基本規(guī)律和技巧1堅實的語言基礎(chǔ)語言知識包括語音、語法和詞匯。語音包括辨音、音變、句子重音、語調(diào)等方面。如不能正確辨音就會導致理解上的錯誤。熟練地掌握詞匯、固定詞組及常見搭配也有利于正確理解所聽到的信息。例如:The school master collected t

19、he papers herself.The school master corrected the papers herself.“collect”和“correct”雖然只有一“音”之差,但提供的信息卻不同。2捕捉關(guān)鍵詞,聽要點要一詞不漏地聽清錄音內(nèi)容幾乎是不可能的,有時也是不必要的。應捕捉關(guān)鍵詞,對一些虛詞或與解題無關(guān)的實詞及不反映重要信息的句子可不予理會。例如:M: Two one-yuan stamps and five eighty-cent stamps, please.W: Here you are. Thatll be six yuan. Q: Where does the c

20、onversation probably take place? A. At a station.B. On a bus. C. At a post office. D. In a restaurant.從選項可預測本題問題屬地點題,只要聽到關(guān)鍵詞“stamps”,就可做對此題。答案為C。3培養(yǎng)推導和猜測的能力聽,屬于接受性技能,受時間限制比較大。人們在接受信息時不可能滴水不漏,所以利用已知信息和上下文進行推導和猜測非常重要。例如:A. In a bank. B. In a drug store. C. In a restaurant. D. In a hotel. 通過選項可知此題是地點題,

21、聽音時就可將重點放在有關(guān)“地點”的關(guān)鍵詞上。4培養(yǎng)筆錄的能力人們對語言材料的認知加工都是在短時記憶中進行的。研究表明,短時記憶的容量非常有限,而筆錄可以幫助我們彌補記憶力的不足。請看下面這段對話:M: Where are you going?W: To Germany. Im going home. Youre English, arent you? M: Yes, I am. W: Where are you going? M: To Portugal.W: On holiday?M: No. Im going to take some photographs there.Q1: Where

22、 are they from?聽這段對話時,可結(jié)合選項邊聽邊記錄,如:W- Ger即女孩為德國人, to- home; m-E(man 是英國人),to- P,在做下面的選項時就可輕易地選出答案。1. A. One is from Germany and the other from Portugal. B. 24、項。5增強文化背景知識背景知識指除了語言知識外,為了理解話語的含義所應具備的社會文化知識、專業(yè)知識、有關(guān)的圖式等。語言不僅是一種表達工具,一串孤立的符號,而且還是一種文化現(xiàn)象。它跟一個民族的文化心理、價值觀念、思維方式有著密切的聯(lián)系。語言和文化是不可分割的,學語言的同時也在學習它的文化。對該語言所屬的歷史、文學、傳統(tǒng)和風俗習慣等了解得越深,就越有利于學習該語言。所以,平時應當加強本族語言和所學語言國家的文化的學習。總之,只要循規(guī)律,找竅門,掌握一定的技巧,再通過不斷的練習就可達到事半功倍的效果。Unit 1 Can I Take a Message?(I) Part 1Vocabulary (
