1、Unit13 Section B Advertising: pros and cons 一、教材分析本單元主要“談論事物對我們情緒的影響”。通過本課的學習,通過對廣告的優(yōu)點和缺點的了解與學習,增長學生的見識,培養(yǎng)學生一分為二看待事物的辨證態(tài)度。引導學生學會比較、選擇對自己有影響的事物,并能正確處理一些實際問題,既鞏固了語言學習目標,又培養(yǎng)了學生的合作能和交際能力,培養(yǎng)他們做個情感豐富的人。二、設計思想“問題導學-主題探究”教學思想是目前我區(qū)推進高效課堂的教學思想。以問題導學為中心的教學營造了一個有利于學習者語言習得的最佳環(huán)境,把語言應用的基本概念轉化為具有實踐意義的課堂教學方式,它倡導“在做中

2、學,在做中用”的教育理念,將語言應用的基本理念轉化為具有實踐意義的課堂教學方式。運用學習任務組織教學,強化了語言實踐的過程,充分體現(xiàn)了語言的交際本質。在完成任務的過程中,學生自然地應用語言知識,從而獲得語言運用的能力,真正體現(xiàn)了從知識到能力的轉化。三、教學目標1.語言目標:重點單詞及短語:pros and cons, aim at, compare, confusing, misleading, quality.能讀懂課文內容,并從中提取信息和觀點。能就“廣告的利與弊”這一話題表達自己的觀點和看法。2.能力目標:訓練學生快速理順并獲取閱讀信息的能力,完成圍繞課文內容所設計的各種任務,初步掌握快

3、速閱讀技巧,能基本表述課文大意 在學習中培養(yǎng)學生對閱讀信息的篩選和辨別能力,能用英語談論廣告的利與弊,激發(fā)學生主動學英語和用英語的積極性。3.情感態(tài)度目標:通過對廣告的優(yōu)點和缺點的了解與學習,增長學生的見識,培養(yǎng)學生一分為二看待事物的辨證態(tài)度。四、課前準備1、每天課前由學生輪流到講臺上用35分鐘的時間來展示自己的英語才能,學生們通常用英語講故事、講笑話,表演英語課本劇,或者針對課本中一些有趣的話題做英文采訪或演唱英文歌曲等。2、搜集一些商品的廣告標語。五、教學過程Step1.導入和“熱身”活動(Lead-in and warming-up activities)1、 Ask two stude

5、demark graphics, which it is embodied in “comfortably settle down” and “l(fā)eaned”. Nestle and the nest (雀巢) for the same root, so they use “雀巢” as its translation. Which embodies infinite love and show the role of commodities in their daily lives as a milk brand. 設計思想:這是一個常規(guī)的課堂活動,每天課前由學生輪流到講臺上用35分鐘的時間

8、unication unlimited.(摩托羅拉) S2: We lead, others copy.(理光復印機)S3: The choice of a new generation.(百事可樂)S4: Impossible made possible.(佳能打印機)S5: Anything is possible.(李寧品牌)S: 設計思想:使學生了解日常生活用品的英語廣告詞的優(yōu)美之處,體驗現(xiàn)代生活英語的無窮魅力。Step3.閱讀前活動(Pre-reading activities) Listen to the text.(要求學生帶著問題聽課文,捕捉大意。如:What is the a

Do you agree with it?) 詢問調查學生對生活中的廣告所持有的態(tài)度。Step4.閱讀活動 (While-reading activities) 快速閱讀,并通過“框架對比”來進行閱讀記憶。 啟發(fā)學生通過閱讀查找和辨別有關信息,該任務可稱為“瀏覽運用型任務”, 學生無須綜合分析或邏輯判斷,而運用形象思維和直覺思維就能從文章的字里行間找出完成任務所需要的答案。老師可以將學生找出的信息板書在黑板上,先小組內討論再展示。如:ProsConsHelp to compare two productsHelp to save moneyBuy some thin

11、詞句。Groupwork進行演示,拓展型閱讀。首先,要求學生熟悉和記憶有關廣告的利與弊,再通過結對活動進行語言轉換和內容延伸。 例如: Group 1 A: Hello, everybody! Today we invite a boy to our Talk Show, his name is Deng Yansong. Hello, Deng Yansong! B: Hi, host! A: Well, what do you think of advertising? B: I hate them. A: You hate them? B: Yeah, because they make

But on the other hand, advertisements can help us compare two products and we can buy one that has lowest price. Its great! B: I agree with you

20、n she bought and tried it, it works really well, it makes her skin really soft, so I think the advertisements have pros and cons. 設計思想:“問題導學-主題探究”教學思想是新課改倡導的一種教學模式和理念,貫穿本課的主線是廣告的利與弊,圍繞這一主線我設計了“問題導學-主題探究”教學法的三個階段性步驟,充分運用“問題導學-主題探究”教學的思想和理念,創(chuàng)建真實的語境,讓學生置身其中,成為課堂的主體,在有趣的活動中完成任務,學到并能運用有用的知識和技巧,較好地完成了本課的知

21、識與技能、過程與方法、情感態(tài)度與價值觀的三維目標。在語言技能方面,本著以學生為主體,以人的發(fā)展為本的教育理念,我要求自己做到從“學”的角度來設計教學內容,遵循先輸入后輸出的原則,使教學呈階梯式層層推進。個人活動和小組活動等形式極大地喚起了學生的興趣,構建了學生主動輸出的橋梁,潛移默化地培養(yǎng)了學生相互合作、共同探究的能力。 Step6.課堂小結 SummaryIn this period weve leant the pros and cons about advertising, we know everything has two sides, so we should make good
