1、Module 6 Unexplained Mysteries of the Natural World教學設計說明話題介紹本模塊主題是“Unexplained Mysteries of the Natural World”。自然界中的神秘現象是指:那些不能或據說不能用已有的科學理論解釋或很好解釋的、令人困惑的自然界現象或者所聲稱的自然現象。目前人們比較關注的自然界中的神迷現象大致包括UFO(Unidentified Flying Object,不明飛行物,俗稱飛碟、外星人,據說的麥田圈Crop Circle),響沙,據說的自然界閃電打雷時的錄像現象,等等。Period 1 ReadingINT
2、RODUCTION Vocabulary and reading 和READING AND VOCABULARY合并為第一課時“閱讀課”。建議教師靈活使用本教案提供的材料,以“自上而下”或者“自下而上”的模式進行教學。課文“The Monster of Lake Tianchi”記述了白山天池怪獸之謎。天池湖面海拔2189米,水深373米,水面 積982平方公里,積水20億立方米,年平均氣溫 為-7.3,年積雪日數達到258天,積雪最深達到3米,是中國最高最大最冷的高山湖泊。天池地處高山之顛,自然環(huán)境惡劣,四周群蜂圍拱,草木不生;水 中 有機質及浮生物極少,沒有可供大型動物生存的食物。但是近百

Some reports argue that there is not a monster, but an
7、estimated 20 monsters. The first reported sighting was in 1903. It was claimed that a large buffalo-like creature attacked three people, but was shot six times. The monster then retreated under the water. More recent reports describe the monster as having a human-like head attached to a 1.5m neck. I
