實(shí)習(xí)生船員面試英語(yǔ)

1、實(shí)習(xí)生面試問(wèn)題及參考答案大多數(shù)實(shí)習(xí)生往往剛剛或者即將從海事院校畢業(yè)，考慮到這些人并沒(méi)有什么船上工作的實(shí)踐知識(shí)，任何船東在面試實(shí)習(xí)生時(shí)都不會(huì)提問(wèn)船上實(shí)際工作遇到的問(wèn)題，而主要是考察實(shí)習(xí)生的專(zhuān)業(yè)知識(shí)、英文水平、身體素質(zhì)、精神面貌、個(gè)人性格、人品等等。扎實(shí)的專(zhuān)業(yè)基礎(chǔ)知識(shí)表現(xiàn)在所修過(guò)的課程的內(nèi)容，所取得的成績(jī)等方面。為了給船東一個(gè)良好的印象，最好能基本說(shuō)出所學(xué)課程的英文名稱(chēng)、該門(mén)課程的主要內(nèi)容，以及通過(guò)學(xué)習(xí)某門(mén)課程的收獲等。我們?cè)谶@里特別提醒您的是，不要對(duì)學(xué)校和學(xué)校所開(kāi)設(shè)的課程有太多的抱怨，因?yàn)閷W(xué)校那么差怎么能培養(yǎng)出什么像樣的學(xué)生呢。船東多數(shù)是外國(guó)人，過(guò)多批評(píng)本國(guó)或本學(xué)校的不足也是一種妄自菲薄的表現(xiàn)。

2、此外，船東還可能認(rèn)為，你這個(gè)人可能會(huì)對(duì)所有的事情都很挑剔，很難和他人合作，也很難適合團(tuán)隊(duì)的工作氛圍，因?yàn)樗麄兛赡軙?huì)想，你有可能認(rèn)為船東公司及船上的管理規(guī)定也一無(wú)是處。至于你的英文水平，船東通過(guò)和你交談就一目了然了。目前，中國(guó)海事院校畢業(yè)的學(xué)生英語(yǔ)水平盡管和前些年相比有很大的提高，但總的來(lái)說(shuō)和諸如印度、菲律賓等船員輸入大國(guó)相比還有一定的差距，也還不能達(dá)到國(guó)外的一流船東，特別是歐美船東的要求。另外，航海專(zhuān)業(yè)英語(yǔ)比較薄弱也是很多畢業(yè)生所共同的問(wèn)題。很多同學(xué)一般介紹類(lèi)的英文還行，但一旦要用英文說(shuō)一些比較專(zhuān)業(yè)的問(wèn)題就卡殼了；不是不能回答，而是不能用英文表達(dá)自己的意思。所以，建議大家在面試前或上船前費(fèi)點(diǎn)時(shí)

3、間，把學(xué)過(guò)的專(zhuān)業(yè)英文詞匯復(fù)習(xí)一遍。另外，在面試前千萬(wàn)不要放棄英文的學(xué)習(xí)。對(duì)中國(guó)學(xué)生而言，我們英文學(xué)習(xí)的環(huán)境的確稍微差了一些。原因是如果自己不利用課堂、教科書(shū)、媒體等學(xué)習(xí)英文，幾乎很難遇到其他講英文的環(huán)境。所以建議大家在待派期間，選上一兩本好的英文教材在家系統(tǒng)的學(xué)習(xí)。走遍美國(guó)、PRESON TO PERSON、SIDE BY SIDE等教材都是很好的練習(xí)聽(tīng)力和口語(yǔ)的教材，這些教材系統(tǒng)性強(qiáng)，語(yǔ)言活潑生動(dòng)，有利于自學(xué)。當(dāng)然，如果經(jīng)濟(jì)條件允許，參加一些短期英文學(xué)習(xí)班系統(tǒng)學(xué)習(xí)更好。此外，利用電視、收音機(jī)等英語(yǔ)教學(xué)和新聞節(jié)目聽(tīng)英語(yǔ)也非常不錯(cuò)。還有，若想糾正自己的發(fā)音和提高自己的聽(tīng)力，應(yīng)該經(jīng)常收聽(tīng)美國(guó)之音（

4、VOA）和英國(guó)廣播公司（BBC）的節(jié)目，當(dāng)然最好是收聽(tīng)他們提供的SPECIAL PROGRAMS（特別節(jié)目），以及他們提供的英文教育節(jié)目。總之，英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)決不是一朝一夕的事情，而是一個(gè)持之以恒，不斷提高的過(guò)程，應(yīng)該利用一切時(shí)間和機(jī)會(huì)，時(shí)時(shí)不可懈怠。有的船員，特別上剛剛畢業(yè)的學(xué)生，覺(jué)得應(yīng)該在船東面前顯得謙虛一點(diǎn)為好，因此可能會(huì)對(duì)船東說(shuō), “ I am sorry, my English is not very good.” 這也許并不是一句好話(huà)。這里有一個(gè)東西方文化差別的問(wèn)題。對(duì)于臺(tái)灣、香港、新加坡以及韓國(guó)等亞洲國(guó)家的人來(lái)說(shuō)，謙虛是個(gè)美德，他們絕大多數(shù)人也許不喜歡善于外露和夸張自己的人；而對(duì)于西方

5、人來(lái)說(shuō)，他們并不理解謙虛這種我們東方人所認(rèn)可的美德。換句話(huà)說(shuō)，你如果在西方人面前表現(xiàn)的十分謙卑的樣子的話(huà)，他可能會(huì)認(rèn)為你這個(gè)人對(duì)自己沒(méi)有信心，或認(rèn)為你真的干不好什么似的。所以，針對(duì)來(lái)自不同地區(qū)的船東，要有不同的策略。也就是說(shuō)，在亞洲船東面前，稍微顯得謙虛一點(diǎn)并沒(méi)有害處；而在歐洲和美洲船東面前，要顯得有自信心，要讓對(duì)方覺(jué)得你能干什么，并且能干好。但是，值得一提的是，隨著全球化和一體化的趨勢(shì)的加強(qiáng)， 不同文化和文明的人們的接觸和溝通越來(lái)越多。不同的文化融合越來(lái)越明顯，人們的思想和思維方式也越來(lái)越接近?？偟膩?lái)說(shuō)，在接受面試時(shí)，自信的人還是絕大多數(shù)考官喜歡的。當(dāng)然，對(duì)于即將邁向社會(huì)的學(xué)生來(lái)說(shuō)，家庭情況

6、、個(gè)人情況、人生觀、價(jià)值觀、理想信念、業(yè)余愛(ài)好、將來(lái)的打算、社會(huì)責(zé)任感等對(duì)于他未來(lái)從事的事業(yè)有很大的影響，船東在面試時(shí)自然不想錯(cuò)過(guò)考察實(shí)習(xí)生這方面的情況。所以，實(shí)習(xí)生在面試時(shí)更應(yīng)該考慮在這些方面給船東留下一個(gè)很好的第一印象。很多同學(xué)在學(xué)校品學(xué)兼優(yōu)，但到了社會(huì)上卻很難成功，歸其原因，在于沒(méi)有學(xué)會(huì)如何到社會(huì)上做人，如何和他人相處，船東當(dāng)然不太希望雇傭這樣的船員。所以，船東還可能會(huì)通過(guò)一些問(wèn)題來(lái)看畢業(yè)生在管理、人際交往、性格等方面的問(wèn)題。在一些方面，我們要特別提醒的是，不論你的性格多么特殊，如過(guò)于表露或過(guò)于沉默，為了面試成功，你回答考官問(wèn)題的答案以及你的表現(xiàn)盡量顯得你是一個(gè)常人，而不是大多數(shù)人所認(rèn)為

7、的特殊性格的人。標(biāo)新立異當(dāng)然并不一定是件壞事，但是，對(duì)剛剛走向社會(huì)的人來(lái)說(shuō)顯得普通平凡一點(diǎn)還是大多數(shù)人所認(rèn)可的。當(dāng)然，實(shí)習(xí)生剛剛從學(xué)校出來(lái)，在成人面前顯得天真、熱情、活潑一些也很重要。其實(shí)，船東并不希望剛從校園邁出來(lái)的畢業(yè)生就很世故。把世上什么事情都看破，憤世嫉俗、狡猾多端、油腔滑調(diào)都是船東所不喜歡的。俗話(huà)說(shuō)，要想做事，先學(xué)會(huì)做人。另外，年輕人就該有年輕人的朝氣和活力，老氣橫秋，把世界看得一片炎涼，船東和考官們也是不會(huì)喜歡的。筆者發(fā)現(xiàn)，有些畢業(yè)生盡管英文和業(yè)務(wù)都不是很好，但那種熱情向上的態(tài)度卻迷住了考官，面試中反而成功了。在談及自己的理想時(shí)，要讓船東覺(jué)得你這個(gè)人在平凡樸實(shí)自信的同時(shí)，又不乏具有

8、遠(yuǎn)大的抱負(fù)，是任何公司都應(yīng)該培養(yǎng)的人。下面的問(wèn)題是船東在面試實(shí)習(xí)生時(shí)可能要提問(wèn)到的，筆者就有些問(wèn)題提供了參考答案，大家在閱讀時(shí)可以有選擇地參考一下。1. Please briefly introduce yourself (as a deck cadet) to us.
