Today ,well learn dialogue three. In the previous dialogue, we learnt that when a ship proceed inwards or outwa

2、rds, usually a person will board the vessel to guide her. Who is this person? (pilot) . In some ports, pilotage is compulsory, while it is not in other ports, it depends. we also learnt vessel Nonsuch anchored with starboard side getting alongside the wharf. And you know that when you stand on board

3、 facing the bow, the right side is starboard and the left side is port side. So the ships bow is inward. Then if the ship is going outwards or seawards, what should be done first? And how will the vessel turn round? To know this, lets listen to the tape of dialogue three.2Step two: Listen to the tap
