1、Tips For Job InterviewUsually one should take a job interview if he applies for a job. The easiest one to handle is when there is adefinite opening in a company and he is being considered for that job. He can talk in terms of specifics-why heconsiders himself a good bet for that particular job, and

2、why he fulfills the requirements and has the needed skills.The next easiest job interview is one where he knows someone at a high level in the company and he has beencalled in for an interview as an accommodation to that person with connections. He is at a disadvantage becausethere is no specific jo

3、b opening for which he is applying, but he has the advantage of being properly introduced, soat a minimum the chances are no one will be rude to him.The toughest way of all is to obtain a job interview when there is no specific position available and he has notbeen introduced by anyone. If he does g

4、et in to see someone in personnel, he will have to act quickly to impressthat person sufficiently.No matter what the circumstances surrounding his interview, it isoften difficult and sometimes demeaning.He has to prepare for all of these. He needs to be clear headed and clear eyed. He should be perf

5、ectly groomed:what about his shoes? Hole in his stocking? Is his handbag scuffed up? Is his shirt clean? What about his hair, hisfinger nails? A woman should take off any costume jewelry, except for one simple necklace or a pair of earrings.She should tone down her make up and forget about heavy per

6、fume. And she should not wear pants. Any of thoseitems might turn off her interviewer.To be a successful interviewee, he should do as follows:1、He should bring a resume with him in a briefcase (the interviewer might have lost his copy). Bringsamples of his work, commendations and letters of referenc

7、e in case the interviewer asks for them.2、He should try to answer the interviewer with the right mixture of humility and certainty that he is theone to fill the job properly.3、He should be flexible, indicating he could fit in other jobs in the company that might be available. Hemight lose the one he

8、 is applying for, but if he makes a good impression, he could be called backimmediately for another job. If he has an opportunity, he had better mention that he views a positionwith his company as a career, not just a job.4、He shouldnt throw influential names around, any pull he has now should remai

9、n in his referenceletters. He should let his own record speak for itself, and if he is too young to have had a record, hemay emphasize his enthusiasm about the idea of joining that firm. If he can get across to theinterviewer there is nothing he wants more than to work for hiscompany, he has probabl

10、y earned an Aon his file. It is a serious mistake for anyone inexperienced to say during an interview: Tm trying tofind out what I should be doing, where I should be heading”,“ I need guidance on where I should go”(That guidance should be sought before he goes on the interview). The job applicant sh

11、ould fire up hisenthusiasm and sayJTll go anywhere in this company I am placed.I know I would do any job youneed to have done”.When the interviewer brings the meeting to a close, he usually asks, “Are there any final questions?” Thisis the interviews cue to ask anything more he needs to know about s

12、alary, employee benefits, and vacationtime. He shouldnt ask too many self seeking ones, if he really needs and wants that job. He may find out thatinformation from other employees after being interviewed. There are pamphlets in the personnel departmentsof large companies that detail employee benefit

13、s, vacations, sickleave rules, maternity benefits, and so on.After it is over, whether he thinks it is a qualified success or an unmitigated disaster, the intervieweealways writes a thank-you note to the interviewer. If he doesnt get the job, he may ask why. He calls theinterviewer and says in earnest, “I know youre terribly busy. If you have any constructive comments for me一on my resume or on how I handled myself on the interview一I would really appreciate them. I n
