冠詞規(guī)則的靈巧運(yùn)用是高考命題的一個(gè)熱門，幾乎每年高考題的單項(xiàng)選擇或完形填空都有波及冠詞的題目，不定冠詞和定冠詞的一些特別用法，習(xí)習(xí)用法及不用冠詞的狀況是高考要點(diǎn)察看的知識(shí)點(diǎn)。

（三）基本用法

今世語法把冠詞分為不定冠詞、定冠詞和零冠詞（即不用冠詞）三種。冠詞是一種虛詞，起限制作用，是最主要最典型的限制詞，放在名詞（或名詞化的形容詞分詞）前面，說明其所指的

人或物。

1、定冠詞的基本用法：Ihaveboughtabook.Thebookisveryuseful.①表示上文提到過的人或事物。如：②用于說話人與聽話人心中都有數(shù)的人或事物。如：Closethewindow,please.③用于表示世界上唯一無二的事物前。如：thesun,themoon,theearth,theworld等。④用于表示方向的名詞以前。如：theeast,theright.⑤用于序數(shù)詞或形容詞的最高等以前。如：thefirst,thetallest.⑥用于形容詞以前，使其名詞化。如：thesick,thewounded.⑦用于由一般名詞組成的專出名詞以前。如：theUnitedStates,theUnitedNation.⑧用于江河、大海、海峽、山脈、群島、建筑物等的名詞以前。如：theChangjiangRiver,theEastLake.。如：TheSmiths⑨用于復(fù)數(shù)姓氏以前，表示“夫妻”或“全家”⑩用于樂器的名詞前。如：playthepiano;playtheviolin.⑾發(fā)明物。如：ThecompasswasinventedinChina.⑿年月名詞前。如：Helivedinthecountrysideinthe1970s.⒀固定詞組中。如：inthemorning(afternoon,evening),ontheotherhand,atthesametime2、不定冠詞的基本用法：①泛指一個(gè)。如：Thereisabookonthetable.②指人或事物的某一種類。如：Hisfatherisadriver.Longjingisawonderfultea.③指某一個(gè)人或事物，但不詳細(xì)說明。如：MysisterwassavedbyaPLAmaninthefire.④用于某一些表示重量、長度、時(shí)間等單位前，表示“每一”。如：Wehavemealsthreetimesaday.（我們一天吃三餐。）⑤表示相同的。如：Theyareofanage.（他們是同歲。）⑥表數(shù)目，相當(dāng)于one,但語意較弱。如：Thereisapenandtwobooksonthedesk.⑦使抽象名詞詳細(xì)化。如：Thelittlegirlisahelptohermother.（ahand譯"幫手"）⑧固定搭配。如：asamatteroffact,inahurry,inaword3、不用冠詞的狀況：Childrenlovecartoons.（少兒喜愛卡通電影。）①表示總稱的復(fù)數(shù)名詞以前。如：②不含一般名詞的專出名詞前。如：WearestudyingEnglish.③名詞前有指示代詞、物主代詞、不定代詞或名詞全部格修飾時(shí)。如：Ilikethispicture;Idonothaveanymoney;Astimewenton,Einstein’stheoprovedytobecorrect.④季節(jié)、月份、禮拜等名詞前，一般不用冠詞。如：Shelikesspringmost.⑤呼語前不用冠詞。如：WhatshallIdonext,Mother?⑥三餐飯前不用冠詞。如：Whatdidyouhaveforlunch?⑦節(jié)假日前不用冠詞。如：PeoplegivegiftstoeachotheronChristmasDay.⑧球類和棋類運(yùn)動(dòng)的名稱前不用冠詞。如：Sheisfondofplayingbasketball.

⑨在一些成對(duì)出現(xiàn)的短語中不用冠詞。如：arminarm（手挽手）;handinhand（手牽手）;
