Phoneticsandphonemicsarebothconcernedwiththesameaspectoflanguagethespeechsounds.Buttheydifferinthattheyapproachthesubjectfromtwodifferentpointsofview.Inphonetics,westudythemostconcrete,directlyobservableaspectoflanguagesounds,dealingwiththecharacteristicsofspeechsoundsandprovidingmethodsfortheirdescription,classification,andtranscription.Butthesoundsoflanguageareorganizedintoasystem.Thestudyofthissystemisknownasphonemics,inphonemics,wetalkabouthowphonemesfunctioninlanguage,andtherelationshipsamongthedifferentphonemics,inotherwords,westudytheabstractsideofthesoundsoflanguage.It’sarelatedbutadifferentsubject.Phonologyisthestudyofallaspectsofthesoundsandsoundsystemofalanguage.Itincludesphoneticsandphonemics.第九頁,共六十八頁,2022年,8月28日(2)Phonologyandphonetics
