學(xué)科教師:授課主題U4模式1V類型□同步□測試得分家長簽字問題統(tǒng)計:知識梳理givemeahandfootthebillblowoutlock,stockandbarrelhook,lineandsinker每一種語言都有它獨特的成語和俗語。而學(xué)習(xí)外語的人經(jīng)常在理解這些習(xí)慣用語時會感到很困難。這是因為你不可能從組成某個習(xí)慣用語的字面上來懂得它的意思。比如,美國人經(jīng)常說:“Givemeahand.”按照字面來理解,“givemehand〃就是''給我一只手。〃可是,它的意思卻是''幫我一下忙?!硗庖粋€例子是:“Footthebill.”'〒。。1的意思是''一只腳〃而“bill”在這兒的解釋是''賬單〃?!癋ootthebill.并不是把帳單踩在腳底下,而是付賬的意思。另外,有的時候,一個詞匯有好幾種解釋。就拿下面一句話來作例子吧:例句-11'WearrivedtwohourslateatthebigblowoutforCharlie’sbirthdaybecauseourcarhacablow-out.”這句話里第一個blow-out是指規(guī)模很大的聚會,第二個blow-out是指汽車的輪胎炸了。整個句子的意思是:“由于我們車胎炸了,所以我們晚了兩個小時才到達查理舉行生日宴會的地方?!ㄟ€有一些習(xí)慣用語從字典上的意思來看是相同的,但是它們使用的場合卻不同。下面兩個習(xí)慣用語就是很好的例子。一個是“Lock,stockandbarrel”,另外一個是:“Hook,lineandsinker”。Lock,stockandbarrel和Hook,lineandsinker都是全部的意思,可是用法卻不同。我們先來舉一個Lock,stockandbarrel的例子:例句-21'Mr.Rockefellerboughtthewholeoilcompanylock,stockandbarrel.”這句話的意思是:“洛克菲勒先生把整個石油公司買了下來〃。換句話說,也就是他買了這個石油公司的大樓、油井和其他屬于這個公司的資產(chǎn)。Hook,lineandsinker雖然也和lock,stockandbarrel一樣是全部的意思,可是它還帶有受騙的意思。例如:例句-3:“IwarnedSallynottobelievethatman'sstoriesabouthowrichhewas,butsheswallowedthemhook,lineandsinker.Aftershemarriedhim,shefoundoutthatheowedeveryoneinhisofficemoney.”上海牛津版高一英語下冊U4教案設(shè)計他說:''我告訴沙利不要相信那個男人說的他多么有錢之類的話??墒巧忱麉s一點都沒有懷疑他。等到結(jié)婚才發(fā)現(xiàn)這個人幾乎向每個同事都借了錢?!ㄅⅲ簩W(xué)習(xí)美國的習(xí)慣用語,課前一點英美文化或習(xí)慣用語加強學(xué)員對英語的興趣同時又學(xué)習(xí)到了新的知識。l.view
