Thenextstepinprofilingisthepsychologicalprofile.Investigatorscreatethisprofileintheabsenceofphysicalevidenceoreyewitnessdescriptions,ortosupplementsuchdescriptions.Theytakewhattheyknowaboutanunknownsuspectandhisactionsandtrytogenerateadditionalinformation.Forexample,ifaserialmurdererhasbeenkillingthefemaleemployeesofalawfirm,profilersmightfinditlikelythatthekillerisamaleformeremployeeorclientofthelawfirm.
