TheTeenCreativeWritingResidencyisasummerwritingresidencythatoffers9thto12thgradeteenswritingworkshopsandmentorship(輔導(dǎo))bydistinguishedauthorsinpoetry,fiction,andnonfiction.TheTeenCreativeWritingResidencywillbeheldatAtlanticCentrefromJuly13throughJuly26,offering21teensfromaroundthecountryanextraordinaryopportunitytoexpandthepoweroftheirindividualvoicesthroughwritingworkshopswithMasterWriters.

ResidencySchedule

TeenwriterswilljointhreeMasterWriters-in-Residence,oneineachofthefollowinggenres(類型)—poetry,fiction,andnonfiction.ThementorshipwiththeMasterWriters-in-Residencewillbethefocus,butthechancetohaveconversationswiththeotherVisitingWritersandparticipatingTeenWriterswillbevaluable.

ClassesmeetMonday—Fridayfortwohoursofworkshops.Teenwriterswillhavetheopportunitytofocusononegenre,whilealsoexploringtheotherformsofliteraturethroughworkshopsandconversation.

Admission

Theselectionprocessfortheuniqueliteraryresidencyopportunitywillbecompetitive.AtlanticCentrereceivestheapplications,andthejudgesevaluatewritingsamples.Asclasssizesarekeptsmalltoprovidethehighestqualityinstruction,notallqualifiedwritersmaybeaccepted.
