1這里的except是一個介詞，相當于exceptfor，其后跟名詞性成分做賓語。此外，except也可以做連詞，直接連接句子或用于exceptthat結(jié)構(gòu)，相當于apartfromthefactthat。此外，注意區(qū)分except、besides等近義詞之間的區(qū)別。except意為notincluding，而besides意為inadditionto，即其后的內(nèi)容只是全體的一部分。apartfrom則可以兼顧以上兩者的含義，需視具體語境確定釋義。2
