Wealthandhealtharethetwomostimportantpursuitsinourlife.But,whichismoreimportant?Differentpeoplemayhavedifferentanswer.Inmyopinion,healthismoreimportant.Ihavetworeasonstosupportmyargument.First,withouthealth,therewillbenowealth.Nowadaysmoreandmorepeoplefocusonmoney-making.Togetmorewealth,someofthemevenlosetheirhealth.ButIthinkthat,ifyouareinthepoorhealth,howcanyoumakemorewealth?So,healthmeanswealth.Second,withouthealth,whatistheuseofhealth?Ifyouareinthepoor,howcanyouenjoythehappinessoflife?Fromwhatisabove,wecanseethathealthismoreimportantthanwealth.
HealthyLifeStyleIsGoodMedicine
Itistruethatahealthlifestyleisgoodmedicine.Inmyopinionahealthylifeincludesreasonablediets,regulartimesforgettingupinthemorningandgoingtobedintheeveningandconstantexercises.Ontheotherhand,apoorlifestyleisharmfultoone’shealth.Somepeopledevelopabadlifestylewithoutanynotice.Ithinkthatapoorlifestylemayrefertoheavysmokingoverdrinking,andovereating,etc.
Certainlyagoodlifestyleisbeneficialtoone’shealth.Forexample.Ifoneoftengetsupearlyanddoesmorningexercisehewillprobablylivelong.However,ifonehasdevelopedapoorlifestyle,hishealthwillberuinedinonewayoranother.Andhewillsufferfromvariousdiseases.Therefore,itisvitalforanyonetoformagoodlifestyle.
InordertodeveloptheWest,weshouldfirstworkoutproperdevelopmentplan,andthenattractqualifiedpersonalandenoughinvestment.Inaddition,thegovernmentshouldprovidevariouspoliciesfavorablefortheWest.Finally,thepeopleintheWestshouldworkharder.Ifwhathasbeenmentionedabovehasbeendone,theWestwillbewelldevelopedinChinaStudentUseofComputersAsshowninthechartabove,wecanclearlyseeadramaticincreaseintheaveragenumberofhoursacollegestudentspendsonthecomputerperweek.In1990,astudentspentonly2hoursaweekonthecomputer,whilethenumberincreasedto20hoursbyyear2000.Whathascausedsuchanincrease?First,computersarenowwidelyusedinoursociety,especiallyinuniversities.Nowadays,computersareusedtowrite,read,calculateandevenplaygames.Secondly,pricesofcomputerhavebeengoingdownveryquickly.Inearly90s,a286wouldcostover35,000RMB.Now,youcanbuyaPentiumIVwithonlyseveralthousandyuan.Itiscertainlyagoodphenomenonthatmoreandmorestudentsaremakinguseofcomputersintheirstudy.However,therearestillsomeproblemsandworriesthatneedourattention.First,manystudentsusecomputersonlytoplaygamesorchatontheinternet.Aroundthecampus,wecanoftenseeinternetbarsfullofstudentsevendeepatnight.Longhoursofsittingatthecomputerisnogoodgoone’shealthandalsoaffectsone’sstudyifheonlychatsandplaysontheinternet.Second,students,maybecometoodependentoncomputersandforgettolearnsomebasicskills.Whenaskedtowritecompositionsduringatest,somestudentscomplainthattheyfindtheirbrainsblankifnotfacingacomputerandtypinghiscompositionout.Weshouldpaymoreattentiontotheseproblemsandtrytosolvethemsothatcomputerswillserveusbetterandbetter.WhatWouldHappenIfNoAttentionPaidtotheEnvironmentProtectionWiththedevelopmentofscienceandsociety,peoplewanttomaketheenvironmenttheyliveinmorecomfortableandsustainable.SomeEuropeancountriessuchasSwitzerlandandSwedencanbetakenasgoodexamplesfortherestpartsoftheworld.However,ourenvironmenthasbeenseriouslypolluted.Manyfactoriesorfarmlandsnotonlypollutedthemselvesbutalsobringaboutpollutiontothewholesociety.Sewagewater,poisonousgasesandwastermineralmaterialsarenowthreateningourlivingconditions.Beingthreatened,weshouldbeawareofthelonglastingconsequencesofouractions.Inmyopinion,strictlawsmustbeimposedtopunishthosewhopollutetheenvironment.Educationhastobedoneforeverybodytorealizethatonlywhenwehaveacleanenvironmentcanwedevelopoureconomyinahealthyandsustainablemannerforthefuturegenerations.
