不定式作定語1.不定式作定語,要放在被修飾詞的后面。Iwanttogetsomethingtoreadduringthevacation.

假期里我想找點書讀。2.某些抽象名詞后面常用不定式作定語。常見的該類名詞有:plan,ability,chance,idea,hope,wish,promise,attempt,way等。Pleasegivemeachancetoexplain.

當(dāng)不定式作定語,且與被修飾的詞語有邏輯上的動賓關(guān)系時,不定式動詞應(yīng)該是及物動詞;如果不定式動詞為不及物動詞,或者不定式所修飾的名詞或代詞是不定式動作的地點、工具等時,不定式后面必須有相應(yīng)的介詞,組成及物的動詞短語。如:Ihaveimportantworktodotonight.我今晚有重要的工作要做。Heislookingforaroomtolivein.他想找個新房子住。Becausetheroomwasverycrowded,Ineededatallbenchtostandon.由于房間里太擠,我不得不站到高板凳上。不定式作結(jié)果狀語1.不定式做結(jié)果狀語,常與learn,find,see,hear,make等動詞連用。Hereturnedhometolearnhisdaughterhadjustbeenengaged.他回家后得知女兒剛剛訂婚了。2.only+不定式,常常表示出乎意料的結(jié)果。例如:IhurriedtoProfessorWang'shouseonlytofindhewasout.我匆忙趕到王教授家,卻發(fā)現(xiàn)他外出了。3.so/such...asto可作結(jié)果狀語。例如:Shewassoangryastobeunabletospeak.她氣得連話都說不出來。4.enough后面加不定式作結(jié)果狀語。Thisroomislargeenoughtoplaceathirdbed.房間足夠大,可以再放一張床。5.too...to結(jié)構(gòu)中,也是不定式作結(jié)果狀語。
