LIMITATIONSOFWEBAR

SinceWebARapplicationsareextremelylimitedbythewebbrowsersthattheyrunin,WebAR

isnotagreatsolutionforcomplexprojects.WebARmaybesufficientforsimpleprojectssuch

asvirtualbusinesscards,simplefacetrackingandothersolutions.However,formore

complexoperations,mobileARismuchmorecapablesinceitcanunlockthefullpotentialof

themobiledevicethatitsrunningon.Hopefullyinthefuturetechnologywillimproveto

make]AfebARmorecapabletoallowformoreaccessibleARexperiences.

ThekeyforsuccessofWeb-basedARwillbeagreaternumberofdevicestosupportitand

morewebsitestohaveitenabled.Althoughthesestandardshaveyettobeestablished,the

implementationofARinbrowsersisalsoperformedbymeansofeitherportingexisting

libraries(e.g.AR.js)ordevelopingnewones(e.g,A-Frame,React360).
