Goodmorningeveryone,

Today,Iwouldliketotalkaboutyouth–thecrucialperiodinourliveswhenwetransitionfromadolescencetoadulthood.Thisstageismarkedbysignificantphysical,mental,andemotionalchanges,aswegrapplewithouridentity,values,andaspirationsforthefuture.Thechoiceswemakeduringthistimewillshapenotonlyourownlivesbutalsotheworldwelivein.

Youthisatimeofboundlessenergyandoptimism.Itisatimewhenwedaretodreambig,tobelievethatanythingispossible.Wearedrivenbyasenseofidealismandadesiretomakeadifference.Wehavethepowertochallengethestatusquo,toquestiontheexistingnormsandsystemsinsociety,andtoenvisionabetterfuture.Itisthisidealismandenergythathasfueledmanyofthegreatestsocialandpoliticalmovementsinhistory.

However,youthisalsoatimeofuncertaintyandvulnerability.Wefacepressuresfromparents,teachers,friends,andsocietyatlargetoconformtocertainexpectations.Thereisaconstantfearoffailureandasenseofinadequacy.Thisleadsmanyyoungpeopletofollowthewell-troddenpath,tochoosesafetyoverrisk,andtosettleformediocrity.Yet,itispreciselyintakingrisksandsteppingoutofourcomfortzonesthatwediscoverourtruepotential.

Asyoungindividuals,wehaveauniqueperspectiveandafreshoutlookontheworld.Webringnewideas,creativity,andinnovation.Wearenotboundbythelimitationsofexperienceorconvention.Wehavethecouragetochallengethenorms,toquestionwhythingsarethewaytheyare,andtoimaginewhattheycouldbecome.

Oneofthegreatestchallengesfacingourgenerationisclimatechange.Itisacrisisthatthreatenstheveryexistenceofourplanet.Yet,itisalsoanopportunityforustocometogetherandfindsustainablesolutions.Asyoungpeople,wehaveavestedinterestinpreservingtheenvironmentforfuturegenerations.Wemustdemandactionfromourleadersandtakeindividualresponsibilityinreducingourcarbonfootprint.

Anotherpressingissueissocialinequality.Inmanypartsoftheworld,youngpeoplearemarginalizedanddeniedaccesstoqualityeducation,healthcare,andemploymentopportunities.Wehavearesponsibilitytofightforequalrightsandopportunitiesforall.Byadvocatingforinclusivepoliciesandcreatingspacesfordialogueandcollaboration,wecanbreakdownbarriersandbuildamoreequitablesociety.

Technologyisanotherareawhereyoungpeoplehaveimmensepotentialtocreatepositivechange.Wearedigitalnativeswhogrewupwiththeinternetandsocialmedia.Wehavewitnessedthetransformativepoweroftechnologyinconnectingpeopleandmobilizingmovements.Byharnessingthepoweroftechnologyforsocialgood,wecanbridgethedigitaldivide,promoteeducationandhealthcare,andempowermarginalizedcommunities.

Inadditiontoeducation,mentalhealthisanissuethatmustbeaddressed.Thepressuresandchallengesyoungpeoplefacecanoftentakeatollontheirmentalwell-being.Itisessentialthatwebreakthestigmasurroundingmentalhealthandcreatesupportiveenvironmentswhereindividualscanseekhelpwithoutfearofjudgment.Bypromotingmentalhealthawarenessandadvocatingforaccesstomentalhealthservices,wecanensurethatyoungpeoplehavethesupporttheyneedtothrive.
