LastFriday，theStudents’UnionofourDepartmentorganizedaclean-upprojecttoZhongshanLake.Thepurposeofthisprojectistoenhancetheenvironmentawarenessofgeneralpublic.Lateintheafternoonaround4，agroupof35volunteerswenttotheparkwherewepickupthetrashleftbysometourists.Asheadofthegroup，Iwouldliketoreporttoyouontheevent.

Actually，wedidawonderfuljob.Whenwewerecollectingthetrashnearthelake，manypeoplepausedtowatchandthencametoourhelp，showingconsiderableappreciationandsupport.Butourworkstillleftsometobedesired.Foronething，sinceourprojectstartedlateintheafternoon，hourswerenotlongenoughtoattractenoughpeopleaswehadpredicted.Fortheother，lotsofpeoplepassedbyapparentlynotknowingwhatweweredoing.Butforthesetwodrawbacks，ourprojectcouldhavebeenmuchbetterandmoreeffective.
