1/282/28捕鯨(whalehunting)，將系有繩索铦或叉、鏢等，采取射擊或投擲方式刺入鯨體進(jìn)行獵捕。獵捕對象有須鯨和齒鯨兩類，以藍(lán)鯨、長須鯨、露脊鯨、抹香鯨、座頭鯨、北極鯨、灰鯨、鳁鯨、小鳁鯨等為主。因為鯨油是珍貴工業(yè)原料，歷史上歐洲和美洲一些國家捕鯨活動長盛不衰。自20世紀(jì)中葉起，因為過分獵捕造成資源衰退以及國際上對捕鯨限制，捕鯨業(yè)已趨衰落。
