過(guò)去分詞(短語(yǔ))作狀語(yǔ)時(shí),可以表示時(shí)間、條件、原因、讓步、方式、伴隨狀況。過(guò)去分詞作方式狀語(yǔ)和伴隨狀語(yǔ)時(shí)可以變成并列分詞,作其他狀語(yǔ)時(shí)可以變成相應(yīng)的狀語(yǔ)從句。1)Discussedmanytimes,theproblemweresettledatlast.

過(guò)去分詞作條件、原因以及時(shí)間狀語(yǔ),通常放在句首;作伴隨狀語(yǔ)通常放在句末;作方式狀語(yǔ)或讓步狀語(yǔ)放在句末或句首均可。4.過(guò)去分詞作狀語(yǔ)的注意事項(xiàng)。

A過(guò)去分詞作時(shí)間、條件、讓步等狀語(yǔ)時(shí)可在前面加上連詞when,till,until,once,if,unless,though,although,evenif,eventhough,as,than等,相當(dāng)于一個(gè)狀語(yǔ)從句的省略。1)Evenifinvited(=Evenifiaminvited),Iwillnottakepartintheparty.2)Whenoffered(=Whenoneisoffered)help,oneoftensays“Thankyou”or“Itisknidofyou”.3)Heneverspeaksfirstunlessasked(=unlessheisasked).

有些形容詞化的過(guò)去分詞作狀語(yǔ)時(shí)不強(qiáng)調(diào)被動(dòng)而重在描述主語(yǔ)的狀態(tài)。

常見(jiàn)的有:lost(迷失的),seated(坐下來(lái)的),hidden(隱藏的)lost/absorbedin(沉浸于),dressedin(穿著),tiredof(厭煩),Interested,Disappointed,Moved,facedupwith,located/situated,stationed,embarrassed,seated,touched,satisfied,frightened,terrified,excited,surprised,amazed,astonished,delighted,amused,confused,puzzled等。
