-Copiesofthereadingtextfrom"Unit3DiverseCultures"

-Whiteboardandmarkers

-Vocabularyhandoutswithdefinitionsandcontextsentences

-Multimediaresources(e.g.,videos,images)relatedtoculturaldiversity

-Groupworkmaterials(e.g.,paper,pens,stickynotes)

-Readingcomprehensionworksheets

-Writingjournalsforreflection

LessonOutline:

1.Warm-upActivity(5minutes)

-Objective:Toengagestudentsandactivatepriorknowledge.

-Activity:"CulturalSnapshots"-Studentsshareabriefdescriptionoftheirowncultureoraculturetheyfindinteresting.

2.IntroductiontotheTheme(5minutes)

-Objective:Tointroducethethemeofculturaldiversity.

-Activity:Abriefdiscussionontheimportanceofunderstandingandrespectingculturaldiversity.

3.VocabularyIntroduction(10minutes)

-Objective:Toensurestudentsunderstandkeyvocabularyfromthetext.

-Activity:

-Distributealistofkeyvocabularywordsfromthetext.

-Engagestudentsina"VocabularyMatching"gamewheretheymatchwordswiththeirdefinitions.

-Discussthemeaningofeachwordanditscontextwithinthetext.

4.ReadingforComprehension(15minutes)

-Havestudentsreadthetextsilently,notinganyunfamiliarwordsorphrases.
