ACM'snewmanuscriptsubmissiontemplateaimstoprovideconsistentstylesforuseacrossACMpublications,andincorporatesaccessibilityandmetadata-extractionfunctionalitynecessaryforfutureDigitalLibraryendeavors.NumerousACMandSIG-specifictemplateshavebeenexamined,andtheiruniquefeaturesincorporatedintothissinglenewtemplate.IfyouarenewtopublishingwithACM,thisdocumentisavaluableguidetotheprocessofpreparingyourworkforpublication.IfyouhavepublishedwithACMbefore,thisdocumentprovidesinsightandinstructionintothecurrentprocessforpreparing`yourmanuscript.

ThissubmissiontemplateallowsauthorstosubmittheirpapersforreviewtoanACMConferenceorJournalwithoutanyoutputdesignspecificationsincorporatedatthispointintheprocess.TheACM“SubmissionTemplate”isasinglecolumnMS-Worddocumentthatallowsauthorstotypetheircontentintothepre-existingsetofparagraphformattingstylesappliedtothesampleplaceholdertexthere,orcopy-and-pastetheirtextandthenapplytherespectiveparagraphstyles(Windows:youcanopentheStylestaskpanefromtheHometab[itcanalsobeopenedwiththekeyboardshortcutAlt+Ctrl+Shift+S];MAC16:youcanaccesstheStylespaneattherightoftheHometoolbar.)Highlightasectionthatyouwanttodesignatewithacertainstyle,andthenselecttheappropriatestylefromthelist.Toviewwhichstyleisbeingusedinanypartofthisdocument,placeyourcursoronyourtextandlookatthe“Currentstyle”fieldintheStylespane.
