ObjectiveClauses(賓語從句).在復合句中作賓語的從句叫賓語從句,它通常位于主句謂語動詞(及物動詞)或介詞之后?;拘问綖椋褐骶涞闹髡Z+主句的謂語+關聯詞+賓語從句。e.g.Ibelievethatwecanachievethegoal.e.g.Iwonderif/whetherGracehasfinishedherhomework.賓語從句的關聯詞1.that引導的賓語從句

賓語從句是陳述句時,用that引導。that無詞義,在從句中不

充當成分,在口語和非正式文體中常常省略。

e.g.Marythinks(that)theboatracesarefuntowatch.

Allthestudentsthink(that)Mr.Zhangishumorous.Iknow(that)youareright.Theybelievethatrobotswilltaketheplaceofhumanbeings.以下情況that不能省略:句中出現兩個或兩個以上的由that引導的賓語從句時,第一個從句的that可以省略,其余的并列賓語從句中的that要保留。e.g.Hesaid(that)thebookwasveryinterestingandthatallthe

childrenlikedtoreadit.it作形式賓語代替that引導的賓語從句時,that一般不省略。e.g.Ithinkitnecessarythatheshouldstayhere.在介詞except,in等后面的賓語從句,that不省略。e.g.Theybelieveinthatshemuststillbesingle.that引導的賓語從句中,當主句的主語是第一人稱(I/we),并且謂語動詞是think,guess,believe,suppose,expect等時,如果賓語從句要表達否定意思,一般將否定轉移到主句上來,即“否定前移”。e.g.Idon’tthinkthegirlcandotheworkalone.

我認為這個女孩不能獨自做這項工作。Wedon’tbelievethatyouareright.我們相信你是錯的。

2.if/whether引導的賓語從句

當賓語從句的語義相當于一個一般疑問句時,常用if/whether

引導,表示“是否”。if/whether在句中不充當句子成分,但不

能省略。

e.g.Iwonderif/whetheryouwanttoattendthemeeting.Shedidn’tsayifherauntwasstillwiththem.Idon’tknowwhetheryoulikeflowers.以下情況只能用whether:與ornot連用時,只能用whether。e.g.I’mwonderingwhetherIshouldgototheparty

ornot.在介詞后只能用whether。e.g.Theyaretalkingabout

whethertheboycanwinthegameagain.與動詞不定式連用時,只能用whether。e.g.Ican’tdecidewhether

際表達的需要來確定。

e.g.Iknow(that)

heliveshere.helivedheretenyearsago.hewilllivehere.hehaslivedherefortenyears.2)如果主句是過去時,賓語從句必須運用相應的過去時態(tài)。

例如,把左側的四句話變?yōu)橘e語從句是:

HewillgotoHongKong.Heissick.Heisreadingabook.Hehasfinishedhiswork.Hesaidhehadfinishedhiswork.hewouldgotoHongKong.hewassick.hewasreadingabook.

3)當賓語從句說明的是客觀存在的事實、規(guī)律或真理時,不論

主句是什么時態(tài),從句都要用一般現在時。e.g.Weknew

thesunismuchbiggerthanthemoon.Theteachertoldus(that)theearthmovesaroundthesun.
