2、ure has its own advantages. Obviously, it is very convenient to use mobile phones. Short messages are certainly quicker than making a phone call. Also, thumb culture is a representative of fashion. If some students bring mobile phones to school, others may follow their example. Of course, thumb cult

3、ure also has its weak,points. It may cost a lot if a student is addicted to chatting in this way. Think of a student who can spend a lot of money before earning a coin. What will he become in the future? Short messages may disturb the attention students pay to the class as well. This kind of thing i

4、s happening everyday during class time. In my opinion, the advantages of thumb culture are over its disadvantages. In the Information Age, students should learn to use new things. So I think thumb culture should be encouraged instead of being banned.,Instead of traditional means, more and more stude

5、nts are now communicating with others by short messages, and this has led to the popularity of the so-called thumb culture. Why is the thumb culture so hot? Firstly, mobile phones have became so common a thing that almost every student owns one. So communication by short messages became possible for

6、 everyone. Secondly, it is cheaper to send messages than to make phone calls and more convenient than to write letters. Whats more, some words that cant be expressed orally may be conveyed by short messages and short messages also,provide a secret world for the two persons communicating. In my opini

7、on, MMs makes we students work and life more convenient to some degree. But it is also a double edged sword. One cant get too addicted to the thumb culture.,Modern technology is changing peoples way of living, of which the thumb culture is a good example. Especially, in the campus, sending short mes

8、sage is gradually taking the place of traditional ways of communicating and is becoming we students own communicating way. Why are short messages so popular among young students? First, the main character of short messages is that they are cheap. Compared with the price of other ways, the cost of on

9、e jiao per piece or even less suits us fine. Second, they are convenient. You can inform others just in a matter of seconds.,But everything has its two sides. The popularity of thumb culture has also caused some problems. Students may not control themselves well. Some may send short messages at clas

10、s and some may send messages while walking. The normal pace of study and life is disturbed by the short messages. In my opinion, we should limit ourselves on the short messages. We should regard sending messages as a shortcut of informing rather than a way of chatting. In this way, short messages ar

11、e bound to make our life better.,Never before have short messages of cell phones become so popular with students and aroused so much attention as it does today.Traditional means of communication have been regularly replaced by the short messages, and the thumb culture is prevailing among students. 12、s far as I concerned, there are generally three reasons that lead to this phenomenon. To begin with, short messages provide students with a more convenient way to communicate with others. Say goodbye to letters and message notes, and you only need to move your thumb. Then, just seconds later,the ver

13、y person has received what you want to tell him. Whats more, thumb culture stands for a kind of fashion. Young students mostly like to be fashionable and like to try new things, and this, to some extent, contributes to the popularity of the short messages. Furthermore, proper use of short message ca

14、n save time. Instead of finding someone everywhere, one can find him without efforts and need not spent much time. However, every coin has two sides. Thumb culture also has its negative effects. Many students got addicted in short messages and failed in the exam.,Admittedly, it costs too much money

15、to buy a cell phone and deliver short messages. To put all into a nutshell, its no surprise that, thumb culture is becoming more and more popular with student and what we should do is to take advantage of it while avoid its negative effects.,I am convinced that the reason why the thumb culture becom

16、es so popular is made up of three aspects. To begin with, sending short messages is much cheaper than making a phone call or posting a letter. It prove to be a better choice for students who can not afford the expensive calls to send short messages. Whats more, Compared with letters, sending short m
