1、Taking the oath of Office1. Vice President Johnson, Mr. Speaker, Mr. Chief Justice, President Eisenhower, Vice President Nixon, President Truman, reverend clergy, fellow citizens:2. We observe today not a victory of party, but a celebration of freedom - symbolizing an end, as well as a beginning - s
2、ignifying renewal, as well as change. For I have sworn before you and Almighty God the same solemn oath our forebears prescribed nearly a century and three-quarters ago.v 修辭分析:運用了Antithesis 的修辭手法,前后結(jié)構(gòu)一致,語義相反,容易吸引觀眾的注意,達到演講詞開篇引人入勝的目的。這里“a victory of party”和“a celebration of freedom”,“an end”和“a begin
