We Day!Wow!how are you? 謝謝你們邀請我來到這里。thank you for inviting me . 來到這里很開心It is so great to be here. 我非常感謝你們今天邀請我在這里與你們分享我的經(jīng)歷I wanna thank you for inviting me and allowing me to share my experiences with you today. 你們是如此的朝氣蓬勃you guys are inspiring. 我知道坐在這里的每一個人都希望在你們生活的圈子里活出別樣的精彩I know that each of you have been invited here today because you are striving to make a difference in your life and in your community. 而我想說這真是太棒了，充滿勇氣！and I wanna tell you that is amazing that is inspring. 我想說的話很簡單 my message is simple因為我想往往就是這些簡單的話語可以改變你的生活 because I believe its the simple messages more often than not that can change the cause of our lives. 你的生活由無數(shù)個瞬間組成，他們有時候可以成就你有時毀掉你或者改變你，有時則逼你重新思考人生There are moments in your life that can make you or break you or change you, forcing you to reevaluate . 這些瞬間常以不同的形態(tài)突如其來these moments ,they often come in different shapes and sizes. 在我上學的時候，我要和讀寫障礙癥搏斗When I was in school ,I struggle with Dyslexia ,這讓我在班里時常感到沮喪難堪，你并不愚蠢，但感覺總是不如人I was often frustrated in class and I know I wasnt stupid but somehow，I felt less than. 幸運的是我的老師注意到我的沮喪Fortunately I had a teacher who recognize my frustration. 他告訴我讀寫障礙癥并不會使我愚蠢He told me that my Dyslexia, it didnt make me stupid .這跟智商沒關(guān)系it had nothing to with intelligence.事實上他說這是種天賦 he actually told me that it was a gift.老師的話仿佛在我的腦海里點亮了一盞燈 hearing my teacher tell me that set off a light bulb in my brain.然后當我19歲的時候我住在倫敦So I m nineteen ,and I m living in London .回首往事looking back,我覺得你們大概會覺得我那時候是個搗蛋鬼I guess you can say I was a bit of trouble maker.不合群，缺乏團隊精神a bit of outsider, not exactly a team player.不過這也是我過去的一部分，就在那時生活給了我一個曲線球but that what I have one of moments when life just threw you a ourve ball. 當我試圖爬上我朋友公寓的房頂時，我從離地三十英尺高的三樓窗戶摔了下來I fell 30 feet, a three storeys from a window while trying to get onto a roof terrace of a friends apartment.我掉在一截欄桿和一堆清洗器具中間，人事不省i landed between arm railings and all washing machines where I lay unconscious .最終我醒了過來until I finally come to .當我醒來，我發(fā)現(xiàn)我不能動了when I came to ,I couldnt move ,I couldnt move my arms. 胳膊不能動，腿也不能動I couldnt move my legs.我癱瘓了 i was paralyzed .這是我第一個想到的是：該死！誰會在第十二夜中扮演奧西諾公爵呢？那是我正在排演的一部劇。and the first thought that I had was:Damn!i wonder who gona play Orsina in Twelvfth Night that evening that was a play I was rehearsing . 醫(yī)生告訴我，我的脊椎遭遇復(fù)合性骨折，我再也不能下地走路了the doctors, the told me that I had a sever coupound fracture in my spine and I may never walk again. 我躺在那里，忍受著我背上的劇痛，盯著天花板整整四天，懷疑我是否可以再次下地走路 I lay there on my back in excruciating pain ,staring the celling,for four days ,not knowing if I could walk again. 你們可能說這就是傳說中的人生低谷I guess you could say that was a low point.但是這也是做出改變和幡然醒悟的瞬間But it was also a moment of change and charity. 我意識到我過去的人生過得有多么匆忙，永遠不慢下腳步，永遠盯著下一個目標，從來不懂享受當下i realized Ive been racing through my lives,never slowing to acknowledge the moment,always focus on the next thing,never appreciating what was right in front of me.我們總是把日常的一切當做理所當然，無法察覺他們的珍貴，因為我們總是有錯覺，生活永遠會如此繼續(xù)下去we take so much for granted on the daily basis ,things we should cherish most because we think they always be there。躺在醫(yī)院的床上，我回想著自己的人生經(jīng)歷Laying on the hospital bed, I thought about the course of my life.我有多莽撞，我有多么不懂得珍惜我的生活？ How reckless I had been how I hadnt valued my life我知道這不是我的終點 i knew that wasnt my destiny .我整理我的思緒，我要自己離開醫(yī)院，并且再也不揮霍生命i fixed my mind right there and then that I would leave hospital on my own and steive never to rake life for granted again.再也不Never.所以醫(yī)生說，一定有一群愛爾蘭的修士修女日夜為我祈禱so the doctor said I must had monks and nuns in Ireland praying for me 因為十二天后，十二天，帶著脊柱上的六顆螺絲釘和兩塊鋼板，我走出了醫(yī)院，回到了學校because twelve days after, twelve days ,six bolts two metal plates in my spine later I walk out of hospital and backed to school.我是幸運的。 I was lucky.這些經(jīng)歷告訴我我與眾不同those thing teaches I was different.大家也許覺得我是個搗蛋鬼，但當我回到學校，我已經(jīng)是一個不同的學生Those thing teaches you thought I was a trouble-maker said I come back to school a different student.一些事情改變了我something had changed.那些差點毀掉我的經(jīng)歷反而賦予我新的人生目標some they could have killed me gave me focus. 最終我明白了我的人生價值i finally understood the value of my life.我?guī)е卦趹蚍碌闹Ъ芡瓿闪?8場公演，雖然那讓我看起來并不怎么樣 I performed all of my 38 plays in the back brace which honestly didnt look that great under my costume .但我用前所未有的熱情投入了演出But I threw myslf into acting in a way I never had before. 這世上沒有人能一帆風順There is no one in the world that is immune from obstacles.那些偉大的領(lǐng)袖：納爾遜曼德拉 ，埃麗娜羅斯福，馬丁路德金他們都面臨挑戰(zhàn)。The greatest leaders of all ages like Nelson Mandela, Elanor Roosevelt Dr.Martin Luther King.They all face challenges 關(guān)鍵是要認清挑戰(zhàn)的真面目I think the point is recognize challenges for what the are. 那些成長的時刻，戰(zhàn)斗的傷痕，是裝點你生活的榮譽勛章Moments of growth, battle scares on your journey,bages of honor decorating your lives. 我在演講之初就要傳達一個簡單的信息I started this speech with a promise of simple message and this is it .那就是你所面臨的挑戰(zhàn)超出你的想象you have more challenges ahead of you than you can imagine.現(xiàn)在坐在這里，我希望你能珍藏今天的回憶。sitting here right now I want you to commit this date of memory .所以當挑戰(zhàn)來臨so when these challenges come up記住你有足夠強大來面對它們，你有足夠強大去克服它們，你有足夠強大去經(jīng)歷它們，獲得成長 you always remember that you are strong enough to face them you are strong enough to overcome and you are strong enough to grow through them. 如果你每次都逃避挑戰(zhàn)，你會失去無數(shù)學習和成長的機會if you run for hills when challenges come to
