Unit 5 Whats in Fashion(Writing and Speaking 第一課時(shí))單元教材分析本單元是圍繞著“Whats in Fashion”這一話題而展開的,內(nèi)容是讓學(xué)生能夠說(shuō)出常見(jiàn)的流行的物品和活動(dòng),并形成自己關(guān)于時(shí)尚的觀點(diǎn),擁有對(duì)時(shí)尚的鑒別能力。在此基礎(chǔ)上培養(yǎng)學(xué)生就改語(yǔ)言目標(biāo)進(jìn)行適當(dāng)?shù)穆?、說(shuō)、讀、寫等訓(xùn)練,并培養(yǎng)其綜合語(yǔ)言運(yùn)用能力。教學(xué)目標(biāo)【知識(shí)技能】1.學(xué)習(xí)關(guān)于常見(jiàn)的流行物品和活動(dòng)的表達(dá)方式。2.了解音節(jié)的劃分。3.掌握定語(yǔ)從句的用法。4.能夠聽懂關(guān)于時(shí)尚的簡(jiǎn)單對(duì)話。5.能夠在對(duì)話中熟練運(yùn)用詢問(wèn)意見(jiàn)、給出觀點(diǎn)的表達(dá)方式。能夠條理清晰地表達(dá)自己的觀點(diǎn)?!厩楦袘B(tài)度】1.培養(yǎng)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)的良好習(xí)慣,鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生積極參與英語(yǔ)實(shí)踐活動(dòng)。2.培養(yǎng)學(xué)生辯證地看待時(shí)尚,拒絕盲從?!疚幕庾R(shí)】了解時(shí)尚與工作的關(guān)系。【過(guò)程與方法】創(chuàng)設(shè)輕松、真實(shí)的語(yǔ)言環(huán)境,圍繞話題進(jìn)行任務(wù)型教學(xué)、整體教學(xué)。教學(xué)重點(diǎn)、難點(diǎn)1.掌握常見(jiàn)的詞匯:perfect,trend, sweat, freeze, designer, although, boot, sunglasses, trust, taste, shop, satisfying, copy, item, gold, judgment, risk, etc.常見(jiàn)的短語(yǔ):go with, work out, fall for, pop into, chain store, according to, second-hand, etc . 重點(diǎn)句型:Do you (really)think that-? Its important for the students to know how to dress appropriately. After reading the Ss should get to know their sensitivity to trends. Also, we have some new words to learn about: brands, attitude, boot, leather, belt, reaction, tricks, donate, tastes, chain, satisfaction, philosophy, perfect, etc. 教學(xué)目的和要求1. Some usages of useful words and phrases. 2. Train the Ss communicative competence.3. By reading the article, teacher trains the Ss how to read.4. By following the article, teach trains the Ss how to write.教學(xué)重點(diǎn)和難點(diǎn)1. Some words and Phrases in this part:1) must-have 必備之物2)fall for ones trick 中某人的詭計(jì);trick sb. into doing 哄騙某人做某事 3) in general 通常,大體上4) pop into 急急走進(jìn)5) a tenth of -的十分之一6) according to 根據(jù),按照7) take risks 冒險(xiǎn)做某事8)even if 即使2. Some difficult sentences:1) Why should I fall for the designers tricks, which are only to “donate my money to them?2) Designer brands, in general, are for people who dont trust their own tastes.3) I find it much more satisfying to pop into one of the cheap chain stores on the High street and buy a copy of the designers clothes for a tenth of the price. 4) OK, you have to use your skill to find the one item in three that looks great.5) Which is why according to a survey done by a British bank, young people with money arent going to the designer shops.6) They are prepared to take risks to look individual. 7) Even if I had the money, I would think of all the other things I could spend it on!3. Train the Ss ability of analysis the pattern of a sentence. Then ask directly: Do you know the flowing big brands?If someone replied, ask him /her easy questions like:Do you like the big brands? What brand do you like best? Teach the new words, then show some flashcards about brand store. Each flashcards will have some words to describe the brand. When The Ss get some information about brand, teaching will begin.Step 2 Reading and understanding (For Activity 1)Listen to the tape for the first time and circle new difficult words and difficult sentences.Ask the Ss to read “l(fā)earning strategy”, and ask the Ss to think it over before reading the passage.1) First get into groups: Teach a paragraph for the Ss. The Ss read the paragraph silently, then summarize the paragraph in their own words and share their summaries with the group.2) Do the reading and understanding exercises twice so that the Ss have chances to practice their spoken English and check their understating about the article.3) Ask the Ss to find out the writers attitude.4) Ask the Ss to read the article one by one in group, choose a student to take part in competition.Step 3 Explanation 1) Although I follow fashion, I hate the phrase “must-have”.盡管我追求時(shí)尚,可我討厭“必備品”這個(gè)詞。Must-have是非正式用語(yǔ),意為“必備(之物)”,即可作名詞,也可用作形容詞,作名詞時(shí)的復(fù)數(shù)形式為must-haves.例如:A mobile phone is a must-have when you travel alone.單獨(dú)旅行時(shí)一定要帶一部手機(jī)。This is a must-have book for anyone whos interested in Jobs.對(duì)于每一個(gè)對(duì)喬布斯感興趣的人來(lái)說(shuō),這本書絕對(duì)不容錯(cuò)過(guò)。2) Why should I fall for the designers trick,which are only to “donate” my money to them? 那不過(guò)是設(shè)計(jì)者騙我給他們“捐錢”的圈套罷了,我為什么要相信呢?fall for ones trick 意為“中某人的詭計(jì)”。例如:Im surprised you didnt fall for his trick .我很驚訝你居然沒(méi)中他的詭計(jì)。trick也可用作動(dòng)詞,trick sb. into doing 意為“哄騙某人做某事”。例如:My parents tricked me into eating meat.我爸媽哄我吃了肉。3) Designer brands, in general, are for people who dont trust their own tastes. 通常,設(shè)計(jì)師品牌是為那些不相信自己審美能力的人設(shè)計(jì)的。in general意為“通常,大體上”,相當(dāng)于usually, mainly。例如:In general, the higher-priced clothes are of better quality. 通常,定價(jià)比較高的衣服質(zhì)量比較好。4) I find it much more satisfying to pop into one of the chain stores on the High Street and buy a copy of the designers clothes for a tenth of the price. 我更喜歡一頭扎進(jìn)商業(yè)街上的某家平價(jià)連鎖店,花原價(jià)十分之一的錢買一件設(shè)計(jì)牌的仿制品。Apop into 意為“急急走進(jìn)”。例如:I also help students who may pop into the office with questions regarding their school life. 對(duì)于那些在校園生活中遇到問(wèn)題,匆匆走進(jìn)這間辦公室的學(xué)生,我也會(huì)為他們提供幫助。B. You have to take some risks. 如果你想幫我,你就得冒點(diǎn)險(xiǎn)。 8) Even if I had the money, I would think of all the other things I could spend it on!我就算有那個(gè)錢,我也會(huì)想用這么多錢可以買到好多別的東西呢!even if 意為“即使”,引導(dǎo)讓步狀語(yǔ)從句,含有強(qiáng)烈的假定性,因此主句使用了虛擬語(yǔ)氣。Step 4 Practice and think Encourage the Ss to do pair work by using the words in the reading, and make sentences with them, and encourage the Ss to ask and answer some easy questions about this reading. Step 5 General training (For Activity 2 Activity 3)Ask the Ss to read the passage and tick true or false.Ask the Ss to circle the sentence that means the same as the given one.Step 6 Homework Retell writers attitude about designer brands.Write a passage about how to choose different clothes
