According to the pictures to learn the new phrases in 1a2)Ss work in pairs and ask and answer.Step 2 Presentation1.T shows Ss some pictures of yard sale and get Ss understand the meaning of “yard sale”;2.Ask& Answer:T shows Ss some pictures and asks Ss: How long have you kept/had/owned? T guides Ss to answer: I have had/kept/owned it since/for .Step 3 Work on 1a. T first sets and example for Ss and then guides Ss to work in pairs to have a role play:A: Hi, Jimmy. How long have you this/that?B: Ive it since/for .A: Why are you selling it?B: Because .A:How much is it?B: You can have it for .Step 4 Work on 1b. 1.T guides Ss to listen to the record and finish exercise 1b.2. Listen again and answer questions. Are there many things that Amy has had since she was a child?_ How long has Jeff had the bike?_3.Reading: Ss read after the record. While reading, Ss pay attention to the intonation. 4.Pair-work: according to the 1c to make their own conversations and then show us.Step 5 1.Work on 2a&2b.1.T guides Ss to make a prediction of the listening record in 2a:A: Can we give away ?B: OK.
