Unit 1 Whats the matter?Section A 1a-1c 黃灣中學 孫靜Analysis of the Material 本節(jié)課的主要內容是新目標英語八年級下冊第1單元第一課時,教材是以Whats the matter ?為中心話題,認識身體部位名詞以及描述身體不適 ,學習和運用“Whats the matter ?”和“I have a”讓學生學會描述身體的不適 ,本課教材內容與學生的實際生活密切相關,易于引出學生運用簡單的英語進行交際和交流,在學習活動中,學生通過交換對身體不適的描述 ,促進學生之間和師生之間的情感交流,增進情誼。本單元在單元語言知識結構上起著自然過渡與延續(xù)的作用。為下冊第二單元Offer help做好連接,打好基礎。Analysis of the Students八年級學生經過一年的學習,學生有了一定的英語基礎,但學生的抽象思維能力低,注意力容易分散,因此我設計PPT,為學生學習創(chuàng)設真實情景,以增強學生學習英語興趣。Teaching Aims Knowledge Objects 1. I have a Teaching MethodsThe situational teaching approach, the cooperative learning method, and multimedia-assisted teaching and learning methodTeaching Aids PPT , a textbookTeaching Procedures Step 1 Greet and Learn how to read the new words1. Greet the class.2. Today well talk about health problems. Before learning ,well learn the new words and phrases. Please open your book at page 114. Now lets learn the words from matter to hurt.First, ask the Ss to try reading the new words in this period by themselves.Next, play the tape and ask the Ss to read after the tape to correct the pronunciation.Then, let the Ss work in groups of four to help each other to get morecorrect pronunciation. The teacher walks around the groups to givenecessary help.Finally, have the class read them together and finish Activity 1a.(設計意圖:在識單詞階段,先讓學生試讀單詞,再通過跟讀錄音,讓學生自我糾正一些不準確的發(fā)音,最后通過小組互助的方式和老師個別輔導的方式,少部分拼讀能力不強的同學也能得到有針對性的幫助,齊讀及完成1a 以便鞏固和檢測所學內容。)Step 2 PresentationT: Boys and girls! Lets have a look .D: Whats the matter with you?P: I have a headache. (Write the sentences on the blackboard) (設計意圖:通過圖片創(chuàng)設語用情境,讓學生通過模擬醫(yī)生和患者之間的對話,感受醫(yī)患用語。)Show other pictures and teach have a cold, have a sore throat in the same way.(設計意圖: 介紹患病的三種不同的表達方式。)Have the students make conversations with their partners by using the pictures. (設計意圖:通過展示圖片,讓學生鞏固所學內容。)Step 3 Listening Practice T: Now well hear 5 conversations about health problems. Look at the picture in 1a . Whats the matter with each person? Please discuss with your partner first.1. Listen and number the names 1-5. Nancy_ Sarah_ David_Ben _ Judy _Play the tape . Check the answers with the class.(設計意圖:先讓學生根據圖片與同伴討論每人的病情, 這樣可以使學生有針對性地聽又可培養(yǎng)他們的推斷能力。)2. Listen again and fill in the blanks . Then check the answers with the class. (設計意圖: 對聽力材料進行挖空填空練習,適當增加聽力的難度,為了培養(yǎng)學生聽力技巧,提高他們的聽力能力。)3. Listen and repeat. Step 4 Practice1. Ask some students to role-play the conversations in front of the class. 2. Ask students to make conversations .For example:A: Whats the matter with Judy?B: She talked too much yesterday and didnt drink enough water. She has a very sore throat now.3. Ask students to make their own conversations with their partners.(設計意圖:通過先表演課本對話,然后鼓勵學生自編對話、表演對話,讓學生能夠把學到的語言知識有效輸出。)Step 5 SummaryT: Boys and girls! What have you learned today? (設計意圖:讓學生學會自己總結本節(jié)課所學的目標詞匯和目標語言,對所學內容進一步強化鞏固。)Teachers wordsT: Boys and girls! When you see someone is ill, you should give some help. Lets learn to care for others. OK?Ss: OK.(設計意圖:此環(huán)節(jié)為情感教育,讓學生學會幫助他人,關心他人。)Step 6 Inquiry into knowledge by translationAsk students to look at the following sentences and try to summarize the language rules and fill in the blanks. The students can help each other and have a discussion after doing the following by themselves. (設計意圖:本節(jié)課的翻譯探究先讓學生自己自己做,然后在組內討論。組內學生如果能把答案都討論出來并展示,最后老師再點撥。而且配有句子可以更好幫助學生理解知識點。)Step 7 Homework1.
