Such a topic is related to our daily life, so it is helpful to raise the students learning interests. In this lesson, the main point is to help Ss to master the sentence patterns “Whoseis this?” “Whoseare these?” “Itss.” and “Theyres.” And use them into communication activities. Meanwhile, students will learn more about asking and answering the owners of clothes.II. The analysis of the students:As English learners in Grade 4, theyve learned some simple oral English, and teacher has to motivate and attract them to join in various learning activities, and besides, games and various activities can arise their strong interest and confidence in studying English. III. Teaching aims and demands:A. Ability aims: 1.Use the sentence patterns “Whoseis this?” “Whoseare these?”to ask about the owners of things. 2. Waken up the awareness of sorting clothes.B. Knowledge aims: 1. Ss can understand and say new words in this part: coat, mine. 2. Ss can use the words theyve learned in the sentence patterns - “Whoseis this?” “Whoseare these?” very well . C. Emotional aims:Ss can get to know how to sorting clothes.Put away their clothes if they dont wear them.IV. Teaching key and difficult points:A. Teaching key points: 1. New words and sentence patterns. 2. Get more ideas from survey or communication activities.B. Teaching difficult points: 1. How to ask and answer by using the new sentence patterns. 2. Use the sentences appropriately in real situation.V. Teaching methods: Communicative approach, TPR, music, Situational Approach, Multimedia approach.VI. Teaching time: 35 minutesVII. Teaching aids: PPT, worksheets, students picturesVIII. Teaching procedures:Step1 .Warm-up/ Lead-in1. Enjoy the song “The clothing song.”2. Review the words about different clothes in the last lesson.Step 2. Presentation and practice1. To practice the sentences “Whoseis this?” “Whoseare these?”according to the song.2. Watch the cartoon, then try to get the main idea of the dialogue. And answer the questions “Whose coat is this?” “Whose pants are these?”3. Read after the multi-media player.4. Have a role-play.5. A guessing game. Show some pictures we can see in cartoons and let the Ss guess whose clothes they are.6. Talk about your own clothes.Step 3. Do a survey1. You are going on a trip during your summer holiday. You need to take some clothes, draw them on the paper and then talk in groups. 2. Talk with the survey sheet: I want to go to_. Its_there, so I want to wear my _, _ and _.3.Check the group-work.Step 4. Homework1. Read the dialogue for several times.2. Draw your dream wardrobe.
