Ability objectives: To let students be able to talk about the food in the target language.III. Emotion objectives: To cultivate the cooperation through peer interaction. And tell students to cherish food and never waste food.IV. Teaching & learning methods: Situational teaching; task- based teaching; group cooperative learning.V.Teaching aids: multi-mediaVI. Key Points:To tell the difference between C.N. and U.N. and to master the sentence patterns about “would like”VII. Difficulties:To tell the difference between C.N and U.N.VIII. Teaching procedures:Step 1: Lead-inThe summer vacation is coming. What are you going to do? Here is an interesting jobworking as a waiter or waitress in the happy restaurant. However, if you want to get the job, you should finish three tasks in this class.Step 2: Tell the difference between the C.N. and U.N.(TASK 1: name the food in English)a.show pictures of food:vegetables: tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, cabbages, onionsmeat: beef, mutton, chicken, fishstaple food: rice, noodles, porridge, dumplings, bread(ask students to read and remember these words, and have a check) b. Game: show pictures of food and ask students look and say, also tell the C.N. and U.N. c. Ask students to read the example words and summarize the rules how to change a C.N. from singular into plural.
