1、unit13 lesson1 eq:iq 說課稿hello, everyone. today im very pleased to have an opportunity to talk about some of my teaching ideas. my topic is eq:iq taken from lesson 1 of unit 13 in senior high english module 5. it is made up of 3 parts.part 1: my understanding of this lesson 1、this lesson is a reading

2、 passage. it plays a very important part in the english teaching of this unit. 2、this lesson is the second part of unit 1which is helpful to make the ss learn the rest of this unit, for the task in the unit is to practice reading and there are some sentences which can be used to introduce the gramma

3、r3、of course, the ss should receive some moral education. let the ss understand that success comes with a high eq, which can be improved.teaching aims:1 knowledge aim: understand the main idea of the text.2. ability aim: retell the text in their own words.3. emotional aim: make the ss pay attention

4、to improve their eq, which is the same important as iq.key points / teaching important points:1. use your own words to retell the text.2. to be able to talk about eq and iq;something about the ss:1.the ss have known something about the iq&eq through the internet and other ways.2. they are lack of vo

5、cabulary.3. they dont often use english to express themselves and communicate with otherspart 2 my teaching theories, methods and aidsbefore dealing with this lesson, carry out the following theories: make the ss the real masters in class while the teacher himself acts as director; combine the langu

7、 3. teaching steps / procedures i have designed the following steps to train their ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing, especially reading ability. the entire steps are: greetings, revision, lead-in and preparation for fast reading listening, intensive reading, preparation for detail

8、s of the text, consolidation, discussion, homeworkstep 1. greetingsgreet the whole class as usual.step 2. revision: check the homework.step 3. lead-in and preparation for reading1. ask student to talk about this question-whats eq and iq in their opinion.2. finish a questionnaire and find your score

9、on page 91. then compare and discuss your results with a partner.purpose: arouse the students interest of study.bring in new subject: eq:iqstep 4. fast readingread the passage as quickly as they can. i show the questions on the screen and let them get the main idea of each paragraph:1. what are eq a

10、nd iq?2. what is relationship between iq and eq?method: read the text individually, use questionandanswer activity.purpose: improve the students reading ability.understand the general idea of each paragraph.step 5. listening(book closed)listen to the tape then do true or false exercise on the book.t
