The three tasks may be different in different versins, but the main plt is always the same, with the prince claiming the princesss hand triumphantly.And the ending is always the same, finishing with the line And they live happily every after.Why arent we tired f smet

3、hing s fanciful, s unrealistic, and, I wuld say, s unimaginative? Hw can a stry like that endure generatins f repetitin? Because, I think, it is a typical success stry. It is highly philsphical and symblic. By implicatin, we see a 4-step definitin f success: 1 ) a gal t be set. as represented by the

4、 beautiful princess; 2 ) challenges t be met, as represented by the three tasks; 3 ) the prcess f surmunting difficulties, as represented by the rdeals the yuth ges thrugh; and 4 ) the reward f success, as represented by the happy marriage.The stry nt nly caters t everynes inward yearning fr success

5、, but als emphasizes the inseparability f the prcess and the result. The reward f success will be much amplified if the path leading twards it is treacherus, and vice versa. If a persn inherits his fathers millins and leads an easy life, he is nt a successful persn even in material terms, because th

6、ere are n difficulties invlved in his achieving affluence. The term success, t be sure. will nt sit still fr easy definitin. But as I understand it, the true meaning f success entails a cmbinatin f bth the prcess and the satisfactry result f an endeavr. T clarify my view, let me give anther analgy.I
