1、Unit 8 When is your birthday? 朱昌中學:黃平一、單元教材分析本單元主要學習日期的表達方式。本單元主要圍繞“談論日期”這一話題開展聽、說、讀和寫的學習活動,學習序數(shù)詞的構成以及運用序數(shù)詞表示日期的方法;學會運用 when 引導的特殊疑問句詢問日期;通過學習能掌握英語表達年、月、日的單詞和句型,能夠熟練地談論各種有關日期的話題。此外,還要學習名詞所有格 ( 's 所有格 ) 的構成和使用;學習詢問表達年齡的句型。能夠詢問及表達一些常見的節(jié)日的日期。二、單元學情分析本單元的主題是詢問和談論日期,圍繞這一主題進行一系列的交際活動,使學生掌握日期的表達法,正確使用
2、when 引導的特殊疑問句對日期進行詢問。在學習日期的表達法時要先學習序數(shù)詞的構成,學生在以前的課程里已經(jīng)學習了基數(shù)詞,對于兩種數(shù)詞之間的區(qū)別一定會令學生感到頭痛,教師要引導學生運用對比的方法,找出構成規(guī)律,總結特殊變化,對比強化記憶。三、單元教學建議采用自主學習、小組合作探究、 Classifying , Contrasting 和 Roleplaying 的學習策略,利用教學圖片、幻燈片、實物 ( 大掛歷、日歷 ) 或制作課件 ( 反映月份特征,課內(nèi)外活動 ) 等來展開課堂教學、 Pairwork 問答式的口語交際活動或游戲等小組活動,進行 “詢問和談論日期” 的課堂教學和練習。本單元的教
3、學法建議:語音教學讓學生進行模仿操練;詞匯教學采取情景介紹或演示對比的方式進行教學,讓學生在情境中操練、理解含義并學會運用;口語教學采取 pairwork 問答式的口語交際活動或游戲等小組活動互相操練;聽力教學采取圖文配對和對話選擇的方式;寫作教學以填詞、回答問題、寫簡單的短文為主;語法教學總結規(guī)律、抓住特征、模仿操練。四、單元課時分配本單元可用4課時完成教學任務:Section A 1 (1a-2e) 用1課時Section A 2 (Grammar focus-3c) 用1課時Section B 1 (1a-2c) 用1課時Section B 2 (3a-Self check) 用1課時
4、Section B 1 (1a-2c) 一、教學目標: 1. 語言知識目標:1) 掌握下列詞匯: test, trip, art, festival, dear, thing, term, month, busy, time, there, Have a good time!2) 掌握一些常見的學?;顒拥谋磉_方式,并能熟練詢問其日期。3) 能聽懂有關學校組織活動話題的聽力材料,并能獲得相關信息。4) 能閱讀有關學校組織活動內(nèi)容的短文,并能獲得相關信息。2. 情感態(tài)度價值觀目標:本課時的學習內(nèi)容為安排課內(nèi)外的一些組織活動,非常貼近學生的學習生活。通過互相詢問課內(nèi)外活動的安排日程,不僅可以增進同學
5、之間的了解和友情,而且還能學會合理地安排自己的作息時間,養(yǎng)成有規(guī)律地生活、學習的好習慣。二、教學重難點1. 教學重點: 1) 學習并掌握常見的課內(nèi)外組織活動,并能詢問其日期。 2) 就課內(nèi)外學生們的組織活動的話題內(nèi)容,展開聽、說、讀的的訓練。2. 教學難點:能閱讀有關學校組織活動內(nèi)容的短文,并能獲得相關信息,提高學生們的閱讀能力。三、教學過程. Warming- up and revision1. Greet the Ss as usual and check the homework.2. Review the cardinal numbers together. Count from fi
6、rst to thirty-first. 3. Play a date game: T: Your partner says a date in Chinese, you say the date in English quickly. e.g. S1: 11月7日 S2:November seventh; 12月9日 S1: December ninth; 8月30日; S2: August thirtieth; 10月3日 S1: October, third 4. Report some of your family members' birthdays. S1: My birt

16、和Activities兩詞可知,該文的任務是找出活動及舉行日期。然后,帶著任務快速閱讀短文,用下劃線畫出活動時間,再圈出此活動。如該句 “Next month, we have an art festival. Its on November 3rd.”在November 3rd這天,舉行的活動是art festival。最后,按時間的先后順序,將日期與活動一一列出。4. 19、heir result to the class. e.g. I like soccer game, school trip, book sale. And I like English day, Sports Day, too. I don't like party, volleyball game. VIII. Language points 1. Sallys birthday party意為“薩莉的生日聚會”, “名詞+s” 是名詞的所有格形式,表示人與物的所有或所屬關系,意為“的”。如: Lindas room 琳達的房間 the girls birthday 那個女孩的生日
20、 歸納 名詞所有格的構成規(guī)則:(1) 單數(shù)名詞和不以-s結尾的復數(shù)名詞,在詞尾加“s”。如: Alices eraser 愛麗絲的橡皮 Childrens Day 兒童節(jié) Mens room男士洗手間(2) 以s或es結尾的復數(shù)名詞,在詞尾加“ ”。如: the teachers reading room 教室閱覽室 (3) 表示幾者共同擁有時,只須在最后一個名詞后加“s”;若表示各自所有,則必須在各個名詞后加“s”。如: This is Tom and Lucys room. 這是湯姆和露西共有的房間。 These are Toms and Lucys rooms. 這些是湯姆和露西各自的房間。(4) 表示無生命事物的名詞所有格需要借助介詞of來表示。如: a photo of my family 我家的全家福 the windows of the house 房子的窗戶2.
