With tremendus interest in Industrial Engineering， I am writing t apply fr acceptance int yur Ph.D. graduate prgram. In 1995， I entered the Nanjing University f Science Technlgy

2、(NUST) - widely cnsidered ne f the Chinas best engineering schls. During the fllwing undergraduate study， my academic recrds kept distinguished amng the whle department. I was granted First Class Prize every semester， and my verall GPA(89.5/100) ranked N.1 amng 113 students. In 1999， I gt the privil

I selected the Shanghai Jia Tng University t cntinue my study fr its best reputatin n Cmbinatrial ptimizatin and Netwrk Scheduling where my research interest lies. At the perid f my graduate study， my verall GPA(3.77/4.0) ranked tp 5% in th

Research eperience and academic activity，When a sphmre， I jined the Assciatin f AI Enthusiast and began t narrw dwn my interest fr my future research. In 1997， I participated in simulatin tl develpment fr the scheduling syste

6、m in Prf. Wangs lab. With the tl f penGL and Matlab， I designed a simulatin prgram fr transprtatin scheduling system. It is nw widely used by different research grups in NUST. In 1998， I assumed and fulfilled a sewage analysis dispse prject fr Nanjing sewage treatment plant. This was my first practi

7、ce t cnvert a labratry idea t a cmmercial prduct. In 1999， I jined the distinguished Prfessr Yu-Geng is research grup aiming at Netwrk flw prblem slving and Heuristic algrithm research. Sn I was engaged in the FuDan Gene Database Design. My duty was t pick up the useful infrmatin amng different kind

8、s f gene matching frmat. Thrugh the cmparisn and analysis fr many heuristic algrithms， I intrduced an imprved evlutinary algrithm - Multi-ppulatin Genetic Algrithm. By dividing a whle ppulatin int several sub-ppulatins， this imprved algrithm can effectively prevent GA frm lcal cnvergence and prmte v

9、arius evlutinary rientatins. It prved mre efficiently than SGA in eperiments， t. In the secnd semester， I jined the wrkshp-scheduling research in Shanghai Heavy Duty Tyre plant. The scheduling was designed fr the rubber-making prcess that cvered nt nly discrete but als cntinuus circumstances. T make

10、 a balance pint between ptimizatin quality and time cst， I prpsed a Dynamic Layered Scheduling methd based n hybrid Petri Nets. The practical applicatin shwed that the average makespan was shrtened by a large scale. I als publicized tw papers in cre jurnals with this idea. Recently， I am ding resear

11、ch in the Cmpsite Predict f the Electrical Pwer system assisted with the technlgy f Data Mining fr Ba Steel. I try t cmbine the Decisin Tree with Receding ptimizatin t prvide a new slutin fr the Cmpsite Predictive Prblem. This prject is nw under cnstructin. Besides， In July 2021年， I gt the pprtunity

12、 t give a lecture in English in Asia Cntrl Cnference (ASCC) which is ne f the tp-level cnferences amng the wrld in the area f cntrl and autmatin. In my senir year， I met P Lin， a visiting prfessr f mathematics frm University f Califrnia-Riverside， I learned graph thery frm him fr my netwrk research.

13、 These eperiences all rapidly epanded my knwledge f English and the understanding f western culture. I hpe t study in depth .In retrspect， I find myself standing n a slid basis in bth thery and eperience， which has prepared me fr the Ph.D. prgram. My future research interests include: Netwrk Schedul

14、ing Prblem， Heuristic Algrithm research (especially in GA and Neural netwrk)， Supply chain netwrk research， Hybrid system perfrmance analysis with Petri nets and Data Mining.
