8、. 學(xué)能目標(biāo)通過本單元的學(xué)習(xí),學(xué)生增多了有關(guān)科學(xué)、科學(xué)發(fā)現(xiàn)、科技應(yīng)用及科學(xué)實(shí)驗(yàn)、實(shí)驗(yàn)報(bào)告等方面的詞匯,學(xué)生對(duì)英語學(xué)習(xí)的興趣有所增強(qiáng),因?yàn)樗凶钚碌目茖W(xué)信息都以英語展現(xiàn),更加激發(fā)學(xué)生對(duì)科學(xué)的追求、奉獻(xiàn)精神。. 教材分析本單元以Scientists at work為話題,介紹了有關(guān)科學(xué)發(fā)現(xiàn)、科學(xué)應(yīng)用、科學(xué)實(shí)驗(yàn)及實(shí)驗(yàn)報(bào)告的寫作等知識(shí),其中多項(xiàng)練習(xí)都要求學(xué)生自覺參與、自由表述自己對(duì)這些話題的認(rèn)識(shí),增強(qiáng)了學(xué)生的參與意識(shí)及濃厚的學(xué)習(xí)興趣,培養(yǎng)了學(xué)生學(xué)好英語、學(xué)好科學(xué)的信心。1. Warming up通過提問圖片主題,使學(xué)生直觀體會(huì)理科課程及其實(shí)驗(yàn)的重要性,并要求學(xué)生結(jié)合實(shí)際談?wù)摾砜茖W(xué)習(xí)的現(xiàn)實(shí)意義。2. L
9、istening通過Mrs Zhu在實(shí)驗(yàn)課上對(duì)學(xué)生講述實(shí)驗(yàn)室注意事項(xiàng),引入本單元的話題:科學(xué)實(shí)驗(yàn)。提醒學(xué)生注意:實(shí)驗(yàn)有一定的潛在危險(xiǎn),操作一定要科學(xué)、規(guī)范、認(rèn)真。3. Speaking以上海浦東磁懸浮列車的開通為話題,談?wù)撔驴萍嫉膽?yīng)用帶來的好處及不足,另外還有四項(xiàng)新科技的應(yīng)用問題有待于學(xué)生發(fā)揮創(chuàng)造力、想象力去完成。通過對(duì)這些話題的談?wù)摚瑢W(xué)生應(yīng)該掌握有關(guān)描述“好處和不足”的常用句型。這項(xiàng)練習(xí)有利于激發(fā)學(xué)生學(xué)好英語的積極性,因?yàn)檫@些話題并不陌生,就在學(xué)生身邊。4. Pre-reading 要求學(xué)生填出所學(xué)理科課程領(lǐng)域內(nèi)18世紀(jì)和19世紀(jì)的重要發(fā)現(xiàn)并闡釋其重要性的理由。同時(shí),還提醒學(xué)生回憶自己曾做過
10、的一次科學(xué)實(shí)驗(yàn)及其感受,以便于學(xué)習(xí)閱讀部分的福蘭克林的實(shí)驗(yàn)。5. Reading 詳細(xì)描述了富蘭克林所進(jìn)行的一次科學(xué)實(shí)驗(yàn):在雷鳴閃電時(shí)放飛風(fēng)箏以驗(yàn)證閃電與電的關(guān)系的實(shí)驗(yàn)。文中詳細(xì)記述了富蘭克林實(shí)驗(yàn)的目的、材料、過程、注意事項(xiàng)和所得結(jié)論。通過該篇文章的學(xué)習(xí),學(xué)生要學(xué)會(huì)如何描述實(shí)驗(yàn)過程(這一點(diǎn)非常實(shí)用),并學(xué)習(xí)富蘭克林對(duì)科學(xué)的執(zhí)著、探究精神。6. 11、uage studyWord study中列出課文一些重點(diǎn)詞匯,如: charge,conduct, cross, sharp, tear, tie的新的詞義,學(xué)生完全可以根據(jù)句子其它部分猜出劃線部分的不同詞義。Grammar介紹構(gòu)詞法中合成詞的結(jié)構(gòu): n + n n8. Integrating skills以Animal experiments為閱讀材料提出三個(gè)問題:(1)動(dòng)物實(shí)驗(yàn)的可行性或有效度,值不值得做?(2)人們利用動(dòng)物做實(shí)驗(yàn)的權(quán)力問題,該不該做?(3)學(xué)生自己對(duì)動(dòng)物實(shí)驗(yàn)的認(rèn)識(shí)、態(tài)度及建議。最后還給出寫作議論文的要求和建議。這是對(duì)學(xué)生綜合能力的檢查,同時(shí)也促進(jìn)學(xué)生綜合能力的提高,學(xué)生
12、完全可以自由表述對(duì)該話題的看法,增強(qiáng)學(xué)生的參與意識(shí),而這正是發(fā)揮學(xué)生創(chuàng)造力的關(guān)鍵。. 教材重組及課時(shí)安排教材重組1. Warming up是Listening話題的引入,即科學(xué)實(shí)驗(yàn),Listening中要點(diǎn)是獲取與實(shí)驗(yàn)注意事項(xiàng)有關(guān)的細(xì)節(jié),Workbook中Listening也是捕捉個(gè)別信息點(diǎn),如:展出的特色物品,周末開館時(shí)間,門票及關(guān)館時(shí)間等,因而這三部分可組合成一節(jié)聽力課。2. Workbook中Talking是有關(guān)不同話題的注意事項(xiàng),是課本Listening話題中功能用語的應(yīng)用,可放在第二節(jié)課口語課開頭作為復(fù)習(xí)來檢查學(xué)生上節(jié)聽力課后所學(xué)的知識(shí)。Speaking是口語課的重點(diǎn)。3. Pre-
13、reading, Reading和Post-reading三部分組成第三節(jié)課閱讀課。4. Language study與Workbook中Practising組成第四節(jié)課詞匯、語法課,即語言學(xué)習(xí)課。5. Integrating skills與Workbook中Integrating skills組成第五節(jié)課:泛讀課。寫作內(nèi)容在課堂上已口頭訓(xùn)練,故不占用課時(shí),學(xué)生課下完成,老師抽查或?qū)W生互相批閱。Workbook中寫作部分可由學(xué)有余力的學(xué)生選做。Checkpoint中第二部分作為下一單元學(xué)習(xí)時(shí)的復(fù)習(xí)內(nèi)容處理。課時(shí)安排如下:1st Period Listening2nd PeriodSpeakin
