1、Module 12 HelpUnit 3 Language in use【Teaching analysis】本模塊的任務(wù)是讓學(xué)生制作一張預(yù)防校園突發(fā)事件的海報(bào),這是一個(gè)真實(shí)有效的任務(wù)。學(xué)生通過繪制海報(bào),可以更多地了解與急救相關(guān)的知識(shí),并在課堂上吸收知識(shí)學(xué)以致用。教師要引導(dǎo)學(xué)生關(guān)注海報(bào)內(nèi)容的實(shí)用性,并注重語言的簡潔性和設(shè)計(jì)的美觀性?!綥earner analysis】初二的學(xué)生通過兩年的初中英語學(xué)習(xí),有了一定的學(xué)習(xí)基礎(chǔ),思維活躍、敢于質(zhì)疑、挑戰(zhàn)老師,表現(xiàn)欲強(qiáng)、思維能力強(qiáng)。但是大多數(shù)學(xué)生自我意識(shí)強(qiáng)、人際交往困惑、不寬容、價(jià)值觀不明確,甚至個(gè)別同學(xué)存在自卑,學(xué)習(xí)知識(shí)不扎實(shí),不能主動(dòng)地去學(xué)習(xí)。部分學(xué)
2、生懶于動(dòng)腦、動(dòng)手,不愿意在課堂發(fā)言或和同學(xué)用英語交流,不能踏實(shí)地學(xué)習(xí)?!綯eaching type】Revision and application 【Teaching aims】Knowledge objectiveTo integrate instructions on self-protection and first aid in disasters or accidents.Be able to write simple instructions about what to do in an accident or disaster.To make a poster about pr

5、st/mustnt.【Teaching difficulties】To make a poster about preventing accidents at school by using imperative sentences and must/mustnt .【Teaching methods】Interactive approach, TPR teaching method.【Teaching aids】Multimedia and some pictures.【Teaching Procedures】Step 1 Lead-in 1. Show the title of this
6、lesson.2. Show the main goals of this class.After the lesson, you are expected to.1) write instructions about what to do in disasters(災(zāi)難) or accidents.2) make a poster about preventing(阻止) accidents at school using must/mustnt and imperative sentences.4. Ask the students questions:Did you hurt yours
7、elf or have an accident at school?What happened?(設(shè)計(jì)意圖:通過師生討論,引入本課,同時(shí)回顧本模塊話題,引起學(xué)生注意。)Step 2 Revision & Presentation1. Show a photo to the class and say:Can you help the boy who is lying on the ground ?2. Play a game to review the first aid instructions which we have learnt in Unit1.3. Check the a
8、nswers one by one and explain the difficult ones to make sure they know how to make suggestions and instructions on first aid.(設(shè)計(jì)意圖:游戲方式復(fù)習(xí)U1學(xué)到的急救知識(shí)相關(guān)的建議、指示,既是復(fù)習(xí)也是為本堂課的語言輸出做準(zhǔn)備。)Step 3 Revision & Practice1. Lead the students to think of what to do during the disaster by looking at the mind map of
9、timeline. 2. Ask them to think about what to do in this condition:If there is an earthquake, you should/must/mustnt.3. Arouse the students sense of self-protection in disasters by watching the pictures and guessing what to do in an earthquake. 4. Lead the students to act out the instruction by using
10、 the teaching method : Total Physical Response.T: Hide under a table.5. Lead the students to help more people learn about self-protection by making a poster.6. Show a picture of a poster to the class and make sure they know what is a poster.7. Enable the students to finish the poster about self-prot
11、ection instructions in an earthquake by completing the sentences. And elicit answers from the class in full sentences.(1)Inside 1) hide under a table2) stay away from windows and heavy furniture.3) leave the building quickly when the ground stops shaking.4) do not use the lift.5) do not jump out of
12、high buildings.(2) Lead the students to understand imperative sentences and know the sentence structure:V.;Do not +V.(3)Outside1) move away from buildings.2) stay away from bridges and trees.3) stay in a bus or car if you are in it.4) do not stand near street lights or under power lines.(4)Lead the
13、students to use must/mustnt like imperative sentences to make instructions about self-protection.(5)Ask them to say the sentences beginning with You must/mustnt.(設(shè)計(jì)意圖:引導(dǎo)同學(xué)們復(fù)習(xí)U2學(xué)到的在地震發(fā)生時(shí)的自救措施和相關(guān)注意事項(xiàng),同時(shí)轉(zhuǎn)換祈使句為含有must/mustnt的句子。為本堂課的語言輸出做準(zhǔn)備。)Step 4 Reading 1. Ask the students one question:Do you know mor
14、e disasters?2. Brainstorm the names of natural disasters by asking the students to say them in English or Chinese.3. Show some pictures of natural disasters to the class. And tell them how to say them in English.4. Lead the students to read a passage about another natural disaster on Page 102.5. Dem
15、and them to observe the photo first and guess the disaster.6. Provide the students with 3 minutes to answer the questions:What happened?What did the girl do?How did the teacher feel?7. Elicit the answers from the class one by one and lead them to think about two more questions:How did the girl save
16、the people?Why did she know it was a tsunami?8. Lead the students to know we can do some prevention before the accidents. And show them the mind map to understand the t
17、imeline clearly.2. Ask the students one question:What accidents can happen at school?3. Brainstorm the names of accidents which can happen at school by asking the students to say them in English or Chinese.4. Show a mind map of accidents at school to the class and also show them some photos of accid
18、ents.5. Ask the students one more question:What must/mustnt we do to prevent the accident?6. Divide the class into five groups to discuss the accidents and take some notes.7. Let each group choose one accident to discuss.8. Share some groups ideas with the class.(設(shè)計(jì)意圖:文本輸出前的一個(gè)鋪墊,為學(xué)生們搭建語言、寫作支架,更好地引導(dǎo)學(xué)

Provide the students with some materials such as colorful stickers ,pictures and a large piece of paper.11. Students wi
20、ll have 8 minutes to make the poster. Teacher gives help if possible.12. Stick the students posters on the blackboard and present it to the rest of the class.
