1、.Unit 4語(yǔ)法篇_理解并掌握so that引導(dǎo)的狀語(yǔ)從句的用法so that與sothat的用法辨析1. so that引導(dǎo)目的狀語(yǔ)從句時(shí),表示“以便,為了從句中常使用can/ could/ may/ might/ will/ would/ should等情態(tài)動(dòng)詞或助動(dòng)詞;引導(dǎo)結(jié)果狀語(yǔ)從句時(shí),從句中一般不用can和may等詞,在so that前可以用逗號(hào),意思是“因此,所以。例如: The little boy saved every coin so that he could buy his mother a present on Mothers Day. 小男孩兒節(jié)省每一枚硬幣,以便在

2、母親節(jié)可以給媽媽買禮物。 We got up early, so that we caught the early bus. 我們起得很早,因此趕上了早班車。 2. so+形容詞或副詞+that引導(dǎo)結(jié)果狀語(yǔ)從句,意思是“如此以致于。例如: The sunshine is so beautiful that Id like to go swimming in the sea. 陽(yáng)光如此美麗以致于我想在海里游泳。 Miss Gao asked a question, but it was so difficult that nobody could answer it. 高老師問(wèn)了一個(gè)問(wèn)題,但太難

3、了以致于沒(méi)有人能答復(fù)上來(lái)。 注意: 1. 當(dāng)that引導(dǎo)的結(jié)果狀語(yǔ)從句為肯定句時(shí),sothat可以與beenough to do轉(zhuǎn)換;當(dāng)從句為否認(rèn)句時(shí),可以與tooto或be notenough to do轉(zhuǎn)換。例如: David was so careless that he didnt find the mistakes in his test paper. = David was too careless to find the mistakes in his test paper. David非常粗心,以致于他沒(méi)有找到試卷中的錯(cuò)誤。 2. sothat可以用suchthat來(lái)代替。例如

4、: He is so good a doctor that everybody loves and respects him. = He is such a good doctor that everybody loves and respects him. 他是一名好醫(yī)生,以致于每個(gè)人都喜歡他、尊敬他。 not only.but also的用法 not only. but also意為“不但.而且.,它是一個(gè)表并列關(guān)系的連詞,用來(lái)連接兩個(gè)并列關(guān)系的句子成分。例如: I can speak not only English, but also French. 我不但會(huì)講英語(yǔ),而且會(huì)講法語(yǔ)。 注

5、意: 當(dāng)not only. but also連接兩個(gè)主語(yǔ)的時(shí)候,謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞應(yīng)與最近的那一個(gè)主語(yǔ)在人稱和數(shù)上保持一致。例如: Not only you but also he is right. 不僅你還有他都是對(duì)的。1.
