2、度教授忽然給我打來(lái)的 電話(huà),緊張的心情和對(duì)方難懂的印度口音使我有些不知所措,但是他問(wèn)的題目主要集中在我PS里面的一些內(nèi)容,包括一些研究的細(xì)節(jié),我還是比較完滿(mǎn)的回答了他的提問(wèn),唯一遺憾 的就是他在問(wèn)道我對(duì) Stanford的教授哪些比較熟悉的時(shí)候,我竟然忘記了一個(gè)我們專(zhuān)業(yè)非常有名的人,而且我還和那個(gè)人通過(guò)email聯(lián)系過(guò),我想這對(duì)我的口試起到了很不好的影響。比起電話(huà)口試,我更喜歡面對(duì)面的口試,因此 Umich的口試就比較成功,盡管對(duì)方說(shuō)話(huà)的 速度相當(dāng)快,而且有兩個(gè)人口試, 我還是能夠比較流暢的回答對(duì)方的題目??谠囍心軌虮憩F(xiàn)自己的自信,那么口試可以說(shuō)就成功了一半。Umich 口試給我印象最深的就是

3、他們對(duì)PS上涉及的內(nèi)容非常關(guān)注,往往會(huì)刨根問(wèn)底,比如我在PS中提到了丁肇中,那個(gè)口試的老師就和我聊起丁肇中為什么得諾貝爾獎(jiǎng)了。預(yù)備Cornell大學(xué)的電話(huà)口試我費(fèi)了很大的心思。我先從網(wǎng)上找到了他們所有我 申請(qǐng)的專(zhuān)業(yè)的教授的資料,然后從其中挑出幾份適合我的仔細(xì)研究。然后對(duì)一些經(jīng)典的口試題目做了具體的預(yù)備。整個(gè)口試過(guò)程非常輕松愉快,實(shí)在問(wèn)的專(zhuān)業(yè)題目也就占了 一半的時(shí)間,另一半時(shí)間基本是在聊天。比如問(wèn)問(wèn)平時(shí)的學(xué)習(xí)、愛(ài)好,甚至問(wèn)起北大的食堂怎么樣,我回答說(shuō)特點(diǎn)就是大,最大的一個(gè)食堂可以容納10000個(gè)人同時(shí)就餐,著實(shí)把教授嚇了一跳,可能康奈爾的學(xué)生少, 沒(méi)見(jiàn)過(guò)這樣的場(chǎng)景。 這些東西事先不能預(yù)備, 只能
