6、. Greetings (with the help of ppt.) Greet and welcome the first-year students. Give them some expressions referring to different levels of college students. Undergraduate-graduate-postgraduate (graduate in US) Freshman-sophomore-junior-seniorII. Introduction (also checking-up of students attendance)

7、First self-introduction by the teacher to the studentsThen the brief introduction of our college and next the introduction of the English lessons and requirements including the duty report by one student at the beginning of each lesson.III. Free talk about the students themselvesTalk about yourself,

8、 your family, your school, your hometown, your study, your major, your holiday or your hobbies, etc.-any topic you like or you are interested in, just to practice your spoken English and for the teacher and students to know each other.Well play a game called “Hidden Message”. On a piece of paper is

9、a hidden message which will have to be worked out by the students if they want to learn about it. Each letter used represents the previous letter in the alphabet (Note: Z comes before A). For example: IJ means HI (demonstrating it by writing IJ on the blackboard and spell out HI).Once the students u
