5、eading 閱覽室a _desk = a desk for writing 寫字臺_music = music that is tiring 煩人的音樂 a _result = a result that is surprising一個驚人的結(jié)果2. -ing形式短語作定語時, 放在所修飾的名詞_, 并且在意思上相當(dāng)于一個定語從句。如:They lived in a room facing the street. 他們住在一間面朝街的房子。= They lived in a room that faces the street. Anybody _in this river will be fined. = Anybody who is swimming in this river will be fined. 在這條河里游泳的任何一個人都會被罰款。3. -ing形式短語也可以用作非限制定語,相當(dāng)于一個非限制性定語從句,這時,它與句子其他部分用逗號分開。如:The apple tree, swaying gently in the breeze, had a good crop of fruit. = The ap

7、ple tree, which was swaying gently in the breeze, had a good crop of fruit. 那棵蘋果樹碩果累累,在微風(fēng)中輕輕搖曳。His brother, working as a teacher, lives in Beijing. = His brother, _, lives in Beijing. 他那個當(dāng)教師的哥哥住在北京。 v-ing形式作賓語補足語1.動詞-ing形式作賓語補足語常放在賓語后面,表示一個正在進行的主動性的動作,強調(diào)一個過程或一種狀態(tài)。如: When we returned to the school, w

8、e found a stranger standing at the entrance. 當(dāng)我們回到學(xué)校時, 發(fā)現(xiàn)一個陌生人站在大門口。We found the snake _ (eat) the eggs. 我們發(fā)現(xiàn)蛇正在吃雞蛋。I found a bag _ (lie) on the ground. 我發(fā)現(xiàn)地板上放著一個包。The boss kept the workers_(work) the whole night. 那老板讓工人整夜地工作2當(dāng)主句轉(zhuǎn)換為被動結(jié)構(gòu)時, 原來作賓語補足語的動詞-ing形式便轉(zhuǎn)換為主語補足語。如:They found the result very sati

9、sfying. 這個結(jié)果很令人滿意。 主語 賓語 賓補= The result is found very satisfying. 主語 主補They heard him singing in the next room. 有人聽到他在隔壁房間唱歌。 = _3.能用v-ing形式作賓語補足語的幾類動詞: 1) 表示感覺和心理狀態(tài)的動詞,常見的有see, hear, feel, smell, find, notice, observe, look at, listen to等。如: We saw a light burning in the window. I felt somebody _(p

10、at)me on the shoulder. As he spoke, he observed everybody _(look at)him curiously. Listen to the birds _.(sing)注意:see, hear, feel, watch等動詞之后用v-ing形式和省略to的動詞不定式作賓語補足語的區(qū)別:We passed by the classmates and saw the teacher making the experiment. 我們走過教室,看見老師在做實驗。 We sat an hour and watched the teacher mak

11、e the experiment. 觀察以上2個例句我們可以發(fā)現(xiàn):前者表示動作_,而后者表示(或強調(diào))動作從開始到結(jié)束的_.如果賓語補足語是短暫性動詞,省略to的動詞不定式短語表示一次動作, 而v-ing形式則表示反復(fù)動作。如: We heard the door slam. We heard the door slamming. 2)表示指使意義的動詞,常見的有have, set, keep, get, catch, leave等。如:I wont have you doing that. This set me_(think).Im sorry to have kept you_ (wai
