32、說到購物的場所,可以說是五花八門了,在美國,大型的購物場所首推商業(yè)中心(Market )。所謂商業(yè)中心,是由數(shù)百家專業(yè)商店聚集在一起組成的,它是美國郊區(qū)生活的一大特色,特點(diǎn)是都設(shè)有供顧客使用的大型停車場。 商業(yè)中心內(nèi)除了專業(yè)商店外,往往還有百貨公司的分店。目前美國新開的商業(yè)中心內(nèi)常有圈起來的林蔭道,并且舉辦各種娛樂節(jié)目,頗似舊日的市鎮(zhèn)廣場。中國現(xiàn)在的超級市場(Supermarket )也是來源于美國的。它是美國最大眾化的商店, 人們可以隨意選擇自己所需要的食品及其他商品,然后到出口處計(jì)價(jià)。這些市場貨色多時(shí)可達(dá)8000 種。在那里不僅可以買到普通商品,還可買到許多美國特產(chǎn)。超級市場多由各公司組成

33、,分別在同一商場內(nèi)經(jīng)營,互相競爭。場外有停車場,門前備有輕便手推車。百貨商店 (department store )比起超級市場更有氣派,里面的商品價(jià)格也隨之抬高。 這里有寬大的店堂和彬彬有禮的售貨員,有些百貨商店在自動電梯旁專設(shè)一位店員,笑容可掬地迎接每一位顧客。百貨商店出售的商品可多達(dá)16 萬種。多數(shù)百貨公司樓下入口處附近設(shè)有問詢處。電梯附近有介紹每層樓商品的說明。有的百貨公司采取“自助式 ”, 顧客自己選好所需要的商品,拿到收款柜臺去付款。還有一種門面較小的商店叫fancy shop。它的規(guī)格較高:顧客進(jìn)門,服務(wù)員殷勤迎接,甚至茶點(diǎn)相待。如在服裝店中,有專門的模特兒身著各式服裝,幫助顧客

34、選購。但這種商店的商品價(jià)格比其他店要高出幾十倍甚至上百倍。Outlet 是一種特殊的購物場所,名品折扣商店。Outlet 一般位于郊遠(yuǎn)地區(qū),很多很多的各種品質(zhì)精良的名牌的過季商品在那里出售。Outlet的規(guī)模十分之大, 商品的包裝較差, 也沒有很好的服務(wù),但是商品的質(zhì)量非常好, 而且價(jià)格十分的便宜。Garden sell 夏天的時(shí)候,把家里不用的東西擺在自家院子里出售,價(jià)格相當(dāng)便宜。主人會在之前幾天手寫廣告貼在附近的電線桿或墻上。Farm market地頭市場。大概每周有一次,主要賣homemade或現(xiàn)場加工的東西,主要是手工制品。3 .降價(jià)出售”除了用on sale這個(gè)短語之外還可以用 on
