My background is especially strong in physical anthropology, my primary field of interest. Physical anthropology consumes my life; I
2、do not study it because I find it somewhat interesting but because I am devoted to it; I want to make it my life. In addition to maintaining a high GPA throughout my college career, and making the Deans list several times, I have also worked hard as a supervisor at Brooks Pharmacy for the past five
3、years. Working my own way through college not only demonstrates my determination to gaining a high quality education and the seriousness with which I treat academics, but also attests to my leadership ability, maturity, and responsibility, both as a supervisor and as a student at the University of R
4、hode Island. My primary goal in applying to your graduate program is to prepare myself for a career in forensic anthropology. Interested in furthering the current body of research and in improving techniques used in the identification of human remains, I am very committed to pursuing forensic anthro
5、pology and believe your graduate program in anthropology will provide me with an excellent foundation in the area of physical and forensic anthropology. With a Masters degree and Ph.D., I will be well prepared to lead a very promising career. While I have no doubt that the program will push me to my
6、 limits, I am confident that I can face the rigorous challenges posed by graduate study and thrive under the demanding environment that advanced studies entail. From my transcripts, you will see that not only am I a well-balanced student, I actually thrive in rigorous, upper level courses, courses a
7、kin to graduate-level courses. Armed with the confidence that I can excel at difficult courses, I believe I can achieve the highest level of success and satisfaction by taking the most demanding graduate program available. In addition to my ability to excel in the classroom, I have demonstrated a pr
8、oficiency in all aspects of conducting research. Research has become a fundamental part of my college career, and I hope it will become the primary component of my future. As a sophomore at the University of Rhode Island, I designed a research project entitled Grooming and Affiliative Behavior in Th
9、ree Species of Non-Human Primates under the guidance of Dr. Su Boatright Horowitz in the Psychology Department at URI. My research proposal gained approval from the Institutional Care and Use Committee at URI and at the Roger William Park and Zoo where the three species of non-human primates (Gibbon
10、s, Sakis, and Lemurs) included in my study are kept. In addition to writing a successful research proposal, I also wrote and received a small funds grant from the University of Rhode Island in order to conduct my research. By being intimately involved in every aspect of research, from proposal and g
11、rant writing to data collection and analysis, I have learned what it takes to be a researcher, but more than that, I have learned how fulfilling and interesting research can be. In the spring of 2022, I will be presenting my results at a poster presentation at the University of Rhode Island, and am
12、planning to eventually publish my findings. Not only has this experience shown me that I am capable of excelling in conducting research, but it has also allowed me to develop a love for the hands on learning that is so crucial to successful research. In my final semester at URI, I will be participat
13、ing in an ongoing research project concerning brain function and attention span under the direction of Dr. Dominic Valentino, a professor in the psychology department at URI. This project will undoubtedly further advance my academic skills and reinforce my passion for research. Physical anthropology
14、 is more than just my primary area of education; it has also become my hobby and lifestyle. The questions posed and answered via the study of physical anthropology have fascinated me for a very long time and have stimulated me to ask and seek to answer further questions. With my mind set on the very
15、 specific goal of preparing myself as excellently as possible for a future in the field of forensic anthropology, I am fully confident that, with the ability to pursue my education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, I will not only be able to fulfill my dream, but to contribute substantiall
16、y to the university as well. 新加坡留學(xué)面試方式及技巧 一、面試方式 1.現(xiàn)場(chǎng)面試 大部分學(xué)校,會(huì)要求學(xué)生前往學(xué)校經(jīng)受現(xiàn)場(chǎng)的面試,這樣更方便學(xué)校對(duì)學(xué)生的綜合能力和臨場(chǎng)能力進(jìn)行考核,需要大家做好材料的準(zhǔn)備,而且提前前往新加坡進(jìn)行準(zhǔn)備。 由于是面對(duì)面的模式,大家還需要將自己的儀表整理好,而且材料也要提前進(jìn)行熟悉,在進(jìn)行交流的時(shí)候,需要進(jìn)行眼神的交流,盡量表現(xiàn)得大方一些,才能夠留下一個(gè)好的印象。 2.電話面試 而不方便的學(xué)生可以申請(qǐng)通過電話來面試,這本來是比較小眾的方式,不過由于今年的疫情原因,這種方式變成為了大多數(shù)人的選擇,可以省錢并且也會(huì)更方便一些。 大家之需要提前約
17、定好時(shí)間,然后接通電話進(jìn)行交流即可,大家只需要保持自己的語(yǔ)氣鎮(zhèn)定,而且能夠流利的回答出所有的問題就可以了,不用面對(duì)面,大家就不會(huì)那么的緊張。 二、考核內(nèi)容 會(huì)確認(rèn)學(xué)生能不能夠順利的完成學(xué)業(yè),要對(duì)自己在國(guó)內(nèi)的學(xué)業(yè)進(jìn)行介紹,而且闡述自己出國(guó)以后的學(xué)習(xí)規(guī)劃,而且要比較清晰流暢有邏輯的表述出來,同步會(huì)考核學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)水平。 然后就是個(gè)人的能力方面,學(xué)術(shù)和語(yǔ)言之外,還有性格、潛力、應(yīng)答機(jī)巧等方面,以及基礎(chǔ)的自我介紹和反問環(huán)節(jié),都是需要大家進(jìn)行準(zhǔn)備的方面。 三、面試技巧 大家在面對(duì)提問的時(shí)候,一定要聽清楚問題,如果沒聽清可以提出再聽一遍;而聽清楚問題后也不要貿(mào)貿(mào)然的回答,要先答復(fù)稿,列出一二三以后,才可以比
18、較清晰的展示。 面試要求使用英語(yǔ)作答,大家就不要出現(xiàn)中文,這樣會(huì)顯得很不專業(yè);并且大家需要自己把控好時(shí)間,面試的時(shí)間要控制在十分鐘以上,時(shí)間太短會(huì)不利于大家的發(fā)揮。 新加坡留學(xué)省錢方法 一、晉升英語(yǔ) 如果大家在國(guó)內(nèi)就可以拿到合格的英語(yǔ)考試分?jǐn)?shù),而且個(gè)人能力能夠應(yīng)對(duì)學(xué)習(xí)的需求的話,到了新加坡以后,就不需要在經(jīng)受語(yǔ)言培訓(xùn),這是可以省下一大筆錢的。 二、申請(qǐng)獎(jiǎng)金 學(xué)術(shù)優(yōu)秀和能力出眾的學(xué)生,還有很多獲取獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金自主的機(jī)會(huì),大部分的項(xiàng)目獎(jiǎng)金都是很豐富的,并且能夠疊加,只要自己的資格符合要求,就可以直接申請(qǐng),能夠有效補(bǔ)貼生活。 三、合租住宿 住會(huì)占到大家整個(gè)生活開銷的三分之一,宿舍雖然是的,但是并不是所有人都可以成功入住,租房的所有類型中,和其他人共同租住公寓,是的方式,還能夠平攤生活的其他開銷。 四、打工實(shí)習(xí) 利用起自己周末、節(jié)假日和寒暑假的時(shí)間,來進(jìn)行對(duì)自己有晉升作用的工作,休息日的兼職時(shí)間比較零碎,賺錢的功能大于能力晉升,但是假期
