1、專業(yè)英語(傳播學)教學大綱Specialized English for Journalism & Communication Studies I課程編號:061982B課程類型:專業(yè)選修課總 學時:32講課學時:21.5 實驗(上機)學時:10.5學分:2適用對象:傳播學專業(yè)先修課程:大學英語、中外新聞傳播史(雙語)一、課程的教學目標本課程是傳播學專業(yè)本科生的專業(yè)選修課。它的開設(shè)目的在于引導新聞學與 傳播學專業(yè)的高年級本科學生直接閱讀專業(yè)原著, 在專業(yè)學習中鞏固和提高英語 水平,在英語學習中了解和研究專業(yè)知識。 具體而言,本課程能夠?qū)⑿侣剬W與傳 播學的歷史與現(xiàn)實、理論與實踐、專業(yè)領(lǐng)域與相關(guān)學

2、科的論述原汁原味地展現(xiàn)在 學生面前,使他們通過這些作品的學習,熟悉新聞學與傳播學專業(yè)英語的基本詞 匯、語法、表達方法、句型和部分經(jīng)典論述與名人名言,為在今后的工作與研究 中直接閱讀并有效借鑒國外的研究成果打下堅實的基礎(chǔ)。課程還能提高學生用英 語進行有關(guān)專業(yè)內(nèi)容的一般性的會話或討論的能力, 以及寫作和翻譯專業(yè)性文章 的能力。該課程還將為學生們?nèi)蘸髤㈤唶庑侣剛鞑W專業(yè)論著,撰寫學術(shù)論文,參加高層次的學術(shù)交流和專業(yè)性極強的科學研究奠定堅實的基礎(chǔ)。二、教學基本要求(一)教學內(nèi)容教學內(nèi)容大致涵蓋大眾傳播事業(yè)主要部類和新聞傳播學的主要領(lǐng)域, 點面結(jié) 合,深淺有致,形成梯次。每個單元由 4或5篇選文構(gòu)成,

3、一般有1-2篇著名 學者關(guān)于該主題的經(jīng)典論述,1-2篇比較具體的個案研究性質(zhì)的文章,以及 1 篇綜合性的概述。(二)教學方法和手段課上教師重點講解課文中難點。課堂翻譯練習著重培養(yǎng)學生的專業(yè)翻譯能力。為了鞏固和提高學生的聽說能力,每個單元后的練習中都設(shè)有role play (角 色扮演)和presentation (展示)的訓練。學生可結(jié)成若干小組,選擇某一感 興趣的專題,尋找相關(guān)英文材料,制作成演示文件,課上用英文進行闡釋。教師 結(jié)合學生未來實際工作需要,酌情補充實用性強的新聞傳播領(lǐng)域的英文專業(yè)術(shù) 語。課上所有訓練都將提高學生進行口頭與筆頭專業(yè)交流的能力。(三)考核方式課程的考核方式為開卷。本
