1、FriendsEveryone will meet many friends in his whole life. As a song says, “it is easy to live when we have many firiends”. All friends in ones life can be divided into three categories according to how close the relationship between his friends and himself.First are the nodding acquaintance. It seem

2、s that they are polite to each other, but actually they dont communicate in depth with each other so that one doesnt know the other very well. It is the moment when they meet and say hello that reminds others that they are friends, because they dont actively visit each other in daily life. The impre

3、ssion one leaves on his nodding acquaintances is also not very deep.Secondly accounting for a large proportion of ones friends are the ordinary friends. They are the group of friends who often communicate with each other deeply and share happiness and sadness. Ones sadness could be eased via complai

4、ning to his ordinary friends and he will get encouragement and help from them when he is depressed.Its really easy to get thousands of money but hard to find an intimate friend. The most important are just the intimate friends who are also called bosom friends. One neednt tell his bosom friends what

5、 he wants to do or what he thinks about because they know each other so well that they can learn each others thoughts and feelings from the others eyes or small gestures. Generally, two persons with the same personality are more likely to become bosom friends. Though accounting for only a little pro

6、portion, they always play the most important roles in ones life.Being with friends makes ones life much happier and smoother. No matter which kind of friends they belong to, they deserve sincerity for they have brought something to ones life.TOPIC: PREJUDICEPrejudice is a noun and it means to precon

7、ceive unfavorable judgments towards a group of people or an individual. It is an unfair feeling or opinion formed towards someone due to some reasons which will be discussed in detail below. Prejudice is in-fact a bad human character or behavior and it is very unhealthy for the peace, harmony and de

8、velopment of a society or a nation.Prejudice can show its ugly face in many forms and shapes, no matter where you live in this world and it is also one of the main reasons why we see and hear wars and fights and so much hate in the world today. Some areas where one can see prejudices are; Disability

9、, Religions, Race and Nationality, Social Classes, Sexuality and many more. Below, is an outline and discussion of the obvious cases mentioned above:Disability - People with disabilities, e.g.: crippled, deaf, mute, blind and etc. are probably some of the most prejudiced people because of these poor

10、 peoples physical conditions. It is a sad thing that most of the time we look at their outer appearances and draw conclusions without looking beyond the obvious and see the not so obvious; and that is, their hearts and souls. Inside, they are just like any normal human being. It is just that they ar

11、e trapped in a body that is not able to do things normally.Religion - People all over the world, when seeking solidarity and a sense of peace and guarantee of a better life in the future, whether on this earth or in the after-life, look towards their faiths and beliefs. They take refuge internally a

12、nd find peace within in fellowship with their gods. Some religions have different teachings and beliefs and their faith bases are not same. Prejudice pops up when different religions disagree with each others teachings and beliefs. Or on things they are allowed to eat and not allowed to eat and how

13、a man or a woman should dress according to their religions and so forth. This leads to unnecessary conflicts and arguments, which can lead to intensive hatred and wars. If the respective religions could learn how to love one another and treat each other fairly and have respect for ones religions, th

14、ere wouldnt be prejudice among the religious groups, but perfect peace and harmony.Race and Nationality - This form of prejudice is found all over the world, no matter where you live or where you come from. This is when we begin to judge some one based on where he comes from or according to his or h

15、er ancestral background. Judgments are based on the skin color, the cultural beliefs and the traditions of a person. Underneath all our outer appearances and bodily colorings and looks or no matter where we all come from, there is one thing that is for sure and that is, we are all human beings. We a

16、ll are same and should treat everyone on the same level. It is not a crime for someone like me from the Oceania region to marry a beautiful Chinese girl. After all, it is a marriage of one human to another human, putting aside our cultural and traditional beliefs and nationalities. Therefore, it is

17、important that we learn to live together in perfect harmony in this world where we all belong to. The earth is a global village where we all are citizens of.Social Classes - Prejudice is very rife when the higher classes of a society look down on the lower classes of the society. The higher class pe

18、ople would not want to be seen talking or interacting with people from the lower classes because they believe it might lower their status and standing in the society and tarnish their pride. They only would like to keep company and interact with their own class. Young girls and boys from different s

19、ocial classes are not allowed to date each other or fall in love with each other. If two young couple are madly in love with each other, they cannot end up getting married, because of their family standings. This is one form of prejudice that really is still in effect now secretly, even though we tr

20、y to pretend that nothing is wrong with us. Secretly, we all have these sorts of feelings towards someone who is less fortunate than us. Also, it is a big problem in the development of a city or country. The upper class people should try to come down to the lower class people and lend their services

21、 and help them in nation and society building. Interaction and not isolation is the way forward in any prosperous society.Sexuality - Sexuality is some ones sexual attraction towards someone else. Most commonly a male towards a female or a female towards a male. We see the gays and the lesbians as a

22、 strange group of people, because they do not like the opposite sex, but like the same sex. They are always victims of prejudice. People make jokes at them and worse still beat them up in some societies. These poor people are human beings like us and just as every other human being on this earth, th

23、ey need to be loved and love back in return. They are victims of medical conditions inside their bodies and it is not their fault that they were born that way. We should learn to respect their rights and freedom of choices rather than prejudicing against them as if they were just some things with no

24、 feelings, but see them as human beings just like the rest of us.I would like to conclude by saying that, prejudice all in all is a disease. It is actually a very bad disease in the society of humanity. When it establishes itself in our hearts and minds, it starts to eat away our capability to make

25、more better and fair decisions. It acts as a covering in our eyes to see and reason things clearly. Lets all be careful and take extra care against this cancerous disease called PREJUDICE. And remember friends; lets not make blind judgments.I close with the following quote from Wayne. W. Dyer, an Am

26、erican Author;Judgment prevents us from seeing the Good that lays Beyond Appearances.”The ShoppersShopping has been an important part of peoples life, and through many times of observation when I go shopping, I discover that the shoppers can be classified into three groups according to their purpose

27、: for goods, for information, and for fun.The first type of shoppers who go shopping just in order to buy the goods they want are in the majority. They ll go to the department stores or big shopping malls only when they need some things they don t have. For example, my mother goes to the supermarket to buy vegetables because she needs them to make supper, and my little sister goes to the clothes shop so as to get a beautiful skirt to attend her friend s birthday party.The second kind of shoppers are the ones who want to gain some information, such as
