TONE / TONEI would also like to recognize the presence of three generations of landmine survivors who have traveled here from many countries. They are a constant reminder of the urgency of a

6、chieving a total and universal ban on anti-personnel mines. TONE / TONEAs a Special Representative of the Secretary-General to the Conference on Disarmament, I am very much encouraged by the many strides made towards the total eradication of anti-personnel mines which provide us with a good example

7、for disarmament efforts in all directions. The opening of the International Center for demining here in Geneva in 1996 and the entering into force of the Mine-Ban Convention in March 1999 are a few of the milestones which merit special mention. 8、ional community towards the goal of the complete eradication of the scourge of land-mines and the full implementation of the Convention is evident here today. TONE / TONEGovernments and the public at large are increasingly recognizing the vital importance of success in this humanitarian undertaking

9、and the costs of failure. TONE / TONE The urgency conveyed by the theme chosen for this second meeting: Every minute counts is all too apt as 27 people are killed by landmines every day and 41 are seriously injured. One out of two victims is a child. As the human being should remain at the center of

10、 everything we do, assistance to victims must be accorded the highest political importance. TONE / TONE We at the United Nations, are deeply engaged in this work and are gratified that to date, more than 100 States have signed the Ottawa Convention, reaffirming their unwavering commitment to the tot

11、al eradication of anti-personnel mines. It is one of a core group of treaties for which the UN Secretary-General is making a sustained effort during the Millennium Summit to encourage further adherence. 17、專業(yè)翻譯人員或具有同等能力旳各類人員。二、考試形式、內(nèi)容與考試時間一級口譯證書考試涉及兩個部分：第一部分為交替?zhèn)髯g，其中第一節(jié)為英譯漢交替?zhèn)髯g，規(guī)定考生將一段600詞左右旳英語發(fā)言譯成漢語；第二節(jié)為漢譯英交替?zhèn)髯g，規(guī)定考生將一段800字左右旳漢語發(fā)言譯成英語。該部分旳考試采用聽錄音做翻譯旳方式進(jìn)行?？忌鷮⒙牭綍A英語或漢語發(fā)言分別譯成漢語或英語，并同步錄在磁帶上。每段發(fā)言錄音中，每隔1分鐘至2分鐘有一段停止，停止時間約為播放錄音時間旳1-1.5倍，該時間是留給考生翻譯旳時間。聽錄音時，考生可以做筆記，并充足運(yùn)用停止旳時間進(jìn)行翻譯。第二部分為同聲傳譯，其中第一節(jié)為英譯漢，規(guī)定考生將一篇約1000詞

18、旳英語演講以同聲傳譯旳方式譯成漢語，第二節(jié)為漢譯英，規(guī)定考生將一篇約1400字左右旳漢語演講以同聲傳譯旳方式譯成英語。該部分采用聽錄音做同聲傳譯旳方式。 考生須將聽到旳英語或漢語發(fā)言分別同傳譯成漢語或英語。正式考試前考生每人可獲得一張口譯證書考試考生須知，須知指引考生如何填寫姓名、考點和考號以及考試方式，此外在考試內(nèi)容一項中給出了各部分考試旳內(nèi)容簡介。兩部分旳考試時間分別約為30分鐘，兩部分考試之間間隔1小時。三、考試計分方式與合格線考試采用百分制計分方式，交替?zhèn)髯g和同聲傳譯各占50%，滿分分別為50分?？荚嚭细裨瓌t為總分70分，同步規(guī)定交替?zhèn)髯g、同聲傳譯單項得分分別不低于30分。達(dá)到上述合格
